Re: Blood on hands/heads must roll
Isn't it already in a disastrous position? It is financially, not ran in a sustainable manner and has the worst team many of us have seen in our lifetime. This is way beyond a team manager. There's a culture that's deep rooted and it needs to be removed. Beggers my belief that people still think we ...

Re: Blood on hands/heads must roll
If I employ someone or if they volunteer, legally I still have the same duty as care as if it were an employee. So .............. Yes, the board are volunteers, but they must be held accountable (same disciplinary procedure as an employee) for the state the club is in. 2023 has been a massive leap b...

Re: Good luck Steve Watson
Let's hope the board have made a correct decision for once in all of 2023. Does anyone know if Steve applied last time round? Just curious as to the process that led to the spreadsheet pretender being appointed over steve in thr first place if that's the case. Have any lessons been learnt. I'd like ...

Re: Boost the Budget
I'd appose another BTB after the record breaking one in the summer, only for the playing budget to be reduced (according to AA). I don't have faith the board are worthy of spending a penny in the right way as of late. It seems they are focusing on the stadium and forgotten about the actual funds on ...

Re: Season 23/24
Is anyone going to actually be accountable for the decisions over the last year? I get most are volunteers, but that shouldn't hide the fact they have the power to make decisions, decisions that should be in the interests of shareholders aka fans. Which they are clearly getting wrong. In dire form ...

Re: Darlington V Scarborough
There needs to be a complete rebuild, from the players to the staff and the board imho. The club has malaise that has set in and been allowed to grow deep into every fibre, and leadership has allowed that. In the past 4 years are we any better off than we were before? On the field definitely not, of...

I don't think it really matters with those players. Clueless, that's the worst squad I've ever seen wear the crest in over 30 years of watching the Quakers. Brutal

Re: Darlington V Scarborough
Well, 2023 those players have really not performed. In any other line of work you would've lost your job, and to be honest two managers have, but those 11 haven't mostly that cross that line havent. They need to take accountability for where we are on the field. Absolutely shocking from them collect...

Re: Who next?
I just feel there's a malaise that's been present in all of 23. I picked up on it during the summer, with the interviews during the BTB. Regardless of players or manager we can't seem to shift it. Reminiscent of Man Utd and what's happening there. Its like it's almost deeply rooted in the club and I...

Re: Gowling has to go tonight
The board have made mistakes, as humans we all do, ii life we often make mistakes but we should learn from them and not make the same mistakes again and again. 2023 they have made more and more and its like they are failing to learn or willing to learn and accept mistakes. Being fan led they are mor...

Re: Gowling has to go tonight
What's Stewart Davies upto these days? Best Chairman we've have in the last 20 years. Bought both financial stability (we didn't make a loss and that was whilst we were in the arena) and successive 8th place finishes in the league only just missing out on the play offs. Stewart Davies had no intere...

And who do you suggest we get to replace DJ or are you going to volunteer. These stupid comments actually get worse after every defeat. Some on here need to learn about finance.. We are where we are and have to live with it, the alternative is we could get in a new manager and pay for three manager...

I hope he does, ubt I just can't see it.
When boost the budget was launched in the summer, it was almost like we were building ourselves into a dog fight this season. There was a sheer lack of positivity despite the BTB doing so well.

I think DJ was impressed with Gowling and his analytical approach to stats, being a shrewd numbers Man himself. Here's the stat that matters, 12 points from a possible 45 is a return of 26.67%. That's the stat that really matters, and the number DJ and his cohorts needs to focus on. I don't just bla...

Re: Darlington V Gloucester
It just doesn't seem like they want it enough. It's easier to change a manager rather than 11 players. But that's what's needed, Griffiths was the only player I would say actually played with heart today. Hatfield scored and ran around, but he didn't look like he wanted it enough, far to many times ...

What if AA can get Ainge playing like he did at Harrogate?. Let's not forget before he came to us he had a couple of good scoring seasons. More than the 12 we've had last season.
Keep the faith!

It's a shame, it happens and we all move on. Hopefully for the better (for us in that sense at least) In my opinion he's been the architect of his own downfall. Yes he can blame the reduced budget, but he was the cause and effect of that in the first place. This seasons performances on the whole hav...

2 Points from a possible 15, that just isn't good enough. We are a fan owned club and the majority want a change in management. Surely the people at the top should respect that, bearing in mind we're the ones funding the club.
