Re: Season 23/24
Glad I'm not the only one feeling like this. I haven't felt so downbeat going into a season for years. Despite the magnificent fund raising efforts of the supporters I cannot help but feel this is needed merely to put out a mildly competitive squad. While a couple look really solid/proven signings, ...

Re: Conlon in his Man City days!
https://c8.alamy.com/comp/HPEJED/barry-conlon-manchester-city-fc-23-october-1997-HPEJED.jpg I wonder how many of the hugely expanded and rapidly expanding City fan base can recall a young Barry Conlon hoofing around Maine Road? Hardly any probably! He's looking a bit like Robbie Williams here :D Qu...

Joe Leesley I reckon, ex Harrogate who played for Boston against us.Woyld be a cracking signing. Sent from my moto g(6) play using Tapatalk Looks like this is the one. Not sure how he's done at Boston but seem to recall him bagging loads of assists at Harrogate. Could be some supply line for Beck :...

Got to echo the sentiments of most. Proven at this level and above with the added bonus of offering a different dimension. Amazed that anyone would even hesitate if the possibility is there. Beck, Hazel and Maddison with the addition of Lambert you'd like to think would be some prospect and address ...

Wow! Potentially an incredible signing.
If this is doesn't quieten the clowns desperate for news then nothing will.

Totally agree with this. Get him in!Ghost_Of_1883 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 21, 2022 1:27 pmI'd sign O'Neill any day of the week on a 1 year deal with an option, no farting about with trials. In any case, he might have his sights set higher than us.

Why does he NEED to name a replacement? What team is in a position to cherry pick a new manager before they sack the current one? And if he can't name a replacement does that mean there isn't anyone out there who would be interested who is better than AA? Exactly this. What an absolutely feeble arg...

Re: Guiesley Away
The stats don't lie, the form is awful They don't, but equally surely nobody just takes stats as read and doesn't look at the reasons why? Stats are just numbers, their value is in the subsequent analysis. Pre Charman unavailability we were 4W 4D 2L. If a new manager could bring a 20 goal a season ...

“The only solution” - talk about reductionist thinking. You weren’t complaining when we beat Farsley 6-0 so I fail to see how you can get to the conclusion AA is the only problem in a few weeks. You’re just a reactionary bag of hot air. Again, if you want AA, you need to name who should replace him...

Re: Darlo v Kettering
Absolutely sick and tired of hearing the sympathisers trying to defend the current plight. I'm sorry but 27 points from 24 games is shocking when we seemingly have a competitive budget. Far too many excuses offered in trying to defend a return of 1.125 points/game with well over half the season gone...

I know York made a couple of eye-catching signings which would appear to make them out to be very strong contenders (yet again). Aside from that and the flurry of incomings at Blyth early doors, I'm well and truly out of the loop as to what else has been happening in the National North. Can anyone s...

So....
Minter
McMahon Laing Watson Liddle
Hatfield Wheatley Holness
Sousa Maguire Campbell
Like the look of that aside from centre halves though sincerely hope I'm proven wrong. Front six looks good albeit lightweight up top. Come on lads!

Noticed that Danny Graham has left Blackburn, he’s from the area and maybe wants a similar path to what Nicky Hunt’s doing. Alun did say in his interview that he’s looking for another striker, I know that I’m probably putting 2+2 together and getting 5 but you never know Wow. As if the regular clam...

I see the Mackems have let 24 go. The majority of these are players aged under 24 so presumably haven't had much if any first team involvement. I've no idea who they are though I'm sure others will. From the number alone though you'd think there may be one or two that could perhaps do a job for us? ...
