Re: Tough one to call....Wednesday's game

We should get absolutely murdered on Wednesday. Should. We have done well and gain lots of money for this run. That is the important thing for me We might get lucky mind..................

Re: Walsall V Darlington FA Cup First Round Proper

WHAT. A. GAME! WOW Firstly that was a game we should have won. We gave a very, very poor Walsall side 2 goals. Yes they missed at least 2 sitters but that is the (TM) Magic of the FA Cup! They were dire and almost as bad as we were under Staunton. Connel made two mistakes that nearly cost us but we ...

Re: Walsall V Darlington FA Cup First Round Proper

I am really looking forward to Saturday but more from a vindication point of view. This is us back on the big stage and taking another step back to where we belong. The result doesn't really matter. What does matter is that we are there. It shows that the idiots and the FA who tired to kill us faile...

Re: FA Cup draw - Darlo Away to Walsall

I am ok with the draw. It is a proper game against a proper club we have all heard of in a proper ground. This is what we have been trying to get back to these years. This is us back on the big stage. Lets go down therein numbers and see if we can get something. They are in poor form and don't seem ...

Re: FA CUP FIRST ROUND

Depends entirely on the draw! Sunderland at home for example would be basically guaranteed to be on TV I am not sure. The story is surely someone like Malden & Tiptree or Natwhich rather than us. They always go with the smallest clubs. Dulwhich Hamlet have a lot of hipster, media hype about them an...

Re: FA CUP FIRST ROUND

is it wrong i would take the bye and the cash?

If not lets have an away game at a club with a decent attendance. We aren't going to be on TV because there are still smaller sides left in the draw so lets get the most cash we can.

I would prefer Chasetown as they are in a lower division and that gives us slightly more chance of being on TV meaning more money.

Neither are easy to get to by train!

Burn really needs sorting out with a move. He clearly hasn't made the transition to P/T football at all well.

Very sad news. That team he was part of is the first one i can really remember. A committed player and someone who did lots of FITC work for the club in the background. Terrible.

Oxford from Brackley is hardly a massive boundary stretch - personally i will be delighted if we get Oxford City and Kettering. If only we could get Hemel and St Albans. My own personal home in time for tea league!

Re: New Manager Interviews this week

Personally i don't mind who is interviewing who and what the process is. I am happy to let that process play out and let the people in the room make the decision based on a face to face selection process rather than we should have X because he has a name I recognize! The successful candidate has to ...

Re: Female managers

The problem would arise if the female manager took a fancy to one of our players. For example if Tommo was having a stinker but our new gaffer had a soft spot for smaller rugged looking players with tatts and a slight bald patch, would she really haul him off if he was having a stinker. Likewise if...

He has put as much effort in as anyone can ask and has done som...

Best Game: Darlo 5 v York 1.

Grading: U as in unclassified. We were awful but at least turned up for the exam. We were not bad enough to go down which would have led to a FAIL grade!

Re: Statement from the board

it is a timely statement, however it doesn't address the key issue. If only getting behind the lads was enough. No amount of supporting the team will overcome the obvious problems with the squad or the short comings of the manager. No amount of backing can prevent the kind of embarrassing collapse w...

Tell you what, i'm seething watching these highlights. Goal 1 is completely preventable. Completely lapse defending. Terrible marking, no one on the line. Goal 2, what is the keeper doing!? We need an animal in midfield I feel, someone to lead and to break up play and give to the likes of Nicholson, there must be someone around surely? The club needs to be challenging for a play off spot each season, if not floating support will just not bother and if we can lose to a poor team like He...

Re: Hereford v Darlington Match Thread

I was there yesterday. First half closed with us in total control at 2-0 up. We come out for the second half and make a mediocre side look superb. What on earth does Wright tell them at half time? We stopped doing everything we did well in the first half and just seemed to sit back deeper and deeper...

I hope you are right! The good news is that we have games against sides close to us meaning we control our destiny.

The bad news is that we have a manager and team in whom I have absolutely no confidence. The manner of the defeat last night ( like at Chester) really concerns me.

Re: B T B Email

My gripe is seeing how the money we raised for a "competitive" budget has been wasted on a team and a manager who aren't good enough. I am simply not convinced the manager we have can spend our money wisely or that he deserves another chance to do so after the dross he has served up this season. Th...

I don't want to argue ( hence why i changed the original post) but I do think recruitment has been poor. What other factors are more important for a football manager than winning games? We are not inconsistent. We are crap. We are crap because the manager has recruited poorly. We are disorganized because the manager hasn't the ability to organised and inspire a team. Our tactics are all over the place...
