Re: Hatfield
Would absolutely love Hatfield to come back. He's the best centre midfielder we've had at this level by a margin. Unless his legs have completely gone he'd be a huge asset. No idea if it's going to happen like.

Second this, two assists in last two as well - was also a fan of Donawa but technically Sousa is different level.

Lads look knackered. Not made anything second half. Are they full time? They just look fitter and sharper than us.

Aye. I'd be happy to go in 1-0 down to be honest and reshuffle at h/t. Sousa looking very bright though, first I've seen of him.

Matches like this when you see what a miss Hatfield is. Getting dominated in the middle and can't get our foot on the ball.

Re: Curzon Ashton v Darlo
Whilst I share the faith that we're on broadly the right track, at what point do we start to get nervous? Fact of the matter is that we've played well in one game out of four. We have fewer points than at this point last season, have scored fewer goals and conceded more. And the corresponding fixtur...

Re: Signings
If Trotman does leave, I’m confident he will be going for a fee. AA backed him at the forum. Quite naturally though, he is looking at local players - by that, Northumberland, Newcastle, Sunderland, County Durham, Teeside, maybe North Yorkshire but touch and go if this is “local” - is this not a big...

Re: Signings
Just shows how Tommy got his signings horribly wrong with his crazy contracts and could even mean not a single player who he signed will be here under AA.With the exception of Trotman and Nicholson who may be leaving through location issues, the others have fallen short. Sent from my moto g(6) play...

Prospect of Trotman leaving worries me. Travelling is not ideal but he's class and would be hard to replace.

Slightly worried by this. Technically one of our best players and our best, most consistent attacker last season. Whoever's coming in has shoes to fill.

Alun Armstrong on his way out of Blyth?
Sounds like Alun Armstrong is tearing his hair out at Blyth. IF we got shot of TW (not necessarily endorsing that), could he be tempted? From what I recall he turned down the job when TW was appointed. https://www.thenonleaguefootballpaper.com/latest-news/26731/alun-armstrong-budget-cuts-are-forcing...

Re: Darlo -Diary .We need significant change.
This stuff about buying 'quality local players' does my nut, as if there is a wealth of talent on our doorstep that we don't even look at because we're only interested in players from Telford. Face facts. If a quality player born and bred in the North East becomes available there are five non league...

Looked him up on Football Manager - he's class on that so we're all good. Central or right mid. Looks comfortable running with ball.

Piece on us in the new When Saturday Comes
As above there's a piece on us in the new WSC, centering on the Southport game. I haven't read it yet but be interesting to see what they make of us.

Re: Harvey Saunders Departs
Fairy ply to him he's definitely markedly improved. Needs to become a slightly more refined player in terms of his technique and first touch, and his movement could use work, but given his pace and work rate can see him making it higher up. Glad we're keeping him for the season as lord knows where w...

Re: New loan signings
Agree about the Barnsley lads, more Smith than Palmer - Palmer has shown glimpses of quality but looked a bit casual in some of his appearances, needs to remember this isn't u-23 football and if he wants to make a career in the professional game he needs to be standing out at this level, he's 21 thi...

Re: Where we are after 25 league games
Find this argument that Wright 'failed' in the summer recruitment and can't take credit for loan signings completely baffling. Firstly it's questionable whether he 'failed' with his signings. So far he has three successes in Nicholson, Elliott and Hughes. Three failures in Henshall, Ainge and Burn. ...

We need to get rid of the short-termism that is ingrained in the supporters minds. Having a commercial manager who is there to increase revenue streams is not going to have an instant impact. Having an academy that produces saleable assets is not going to have an instant impact. Yes relegation woul...

He's our only recognised right back, so there would be a clear impact, especially with our ability to bring in new players expected to be limited to unproven loan signings. This on top of a wafer thin squad, which doesn't appear to have anybody who could fill the role effectively. Of course, any sa...
