Re: Donowa gone

Always disappointing to lose a talented player but he was always a prime candidate to be picked up higher up the leagues. A good opportunity for him to develop full time and we’ve picked up a fee plus add-ons for him too so a decent deal for all parties. And you have to admire someone who is keen to...

Re: Swindon away

Agreed it is slightly tougher than Walsall - they were a struggling league two side not league one but regardless let's just enjoy it. I am surprised people think it has any shot of being the TV game though. Tonbridge Angels v Bradford City Maldon & Tiptree v Bristol Rovers Eastbourne Borough v Bla...

Re: Swindon away

We said the same thing about Walsall away, and that turned out to be a great day.

Take it for what it is, a good chance to challenge ourselves against a league club.

Could’ve been a sexier tie but nothing we can do about the draw.

Armstrong confirmed post-match that Sousa will be signing. Did Armstrong do 2 post match interviews because the only one I've seen he doesn't seem to mention the player? Unless I missed something! Yes, he did. Check out North East Sports News (which seems to be the new site Craig Stoddart is involv...

Ted - you’ve abused me (and others) and on multiple occasions said you’d enjoy assaulting me. You’ve even alienated your own family members on here by faking your death to play a prank. Why on Earth do you think I would want to meet up with someone as deranged as you? How about to prove once and fo...

Re: QTV today

if its a televised home game in the next round - but on BT Sports will that mean the stream via Quaker TV wont be allowed? We don’t know yet but I’d imagine that’s very likely. BT and the BBC paid for the FA Cup TV rights, so other clubs making money by streaming the same game wouldn’t go down too ...

Re: Cambridge City at home

Let’s say we draw Sunderland and BT choose to televise that, BT won’t be best pleased, having paid for the rights, if Quaker TV also streams it, potentially taking away their business and revenue. Ah yes of course. I guess I figured there were existing conditions which effectively gave exclusivity ...

Yes I would quite enjoy smacking your silly face, And you say you’re not a violent man....(irrespective of your caveat, the fact you enjoy violence destroys your protestations of not being violent). Re: Cambridge City at home

Last year was £75k to be selected as a TV game. Even if that is reduced to sat £65k, I would still take that right now. However most likely we get someone away and it’s not a big deal for TV etc. weird one as the team don’t even know if we will be allowed to stream the games even if not TV selected...

Cambridge City at home

The issue is who other clubs get. With someone like Skelmersdale still in the competition it is highly likely they will be the TV game. Between BBC and BT, there’ll be at least four TV games with it being the first round. And in recent years the BBC have been doing their Final Score, with the match...

Cambridge City at home

As a genuine question, are people as fussed about getting one of the big boys at home, given no fans will be able to attend? Or would we rather get, like DarloPartisan says, one of the lower-ranked sides at home to give us a better chance of progression and the prize money? Personally I’m leaning to...

It is but part of the Bishops Stortford coverage. It's before the game. Could be simultaneously on the BBC too but not 100% about that.

New keeper on loan

By the sounds of it, he looked at whether any of the youth squad could make the step up as cover, and decided they weren’t ready. Given how important a good cup run will be, plus everything else that’s going on, it’s a sensible short-term move. As others have said, had anything happened to Saltmer w...

Melvin Minter on loan for a month from Harrogate Town.

No suggestion Saltmer is injured. Armstrong said he panicked about the lack of cover there.

Eh? Unless I’m missing something here, Poolies aren’t on Sky, they’re on the BBC. And the Beeb are nothing to do with the tedious dinosaur Stelling.

The BBC have FA Cup TV rights, not Sky.

And there was no way we were going to be on.
