Re: Rugby League

It's not been newsworthy by the looks of it as I've tsearched and can only see old stuff with horses on the pitch. It's a bit like Darlington, usually very peaceful then on the odd occasion it kicks off like at Fylde and you can't reason with drink/drugs though some of us tried!!

Re: Darlington V Bradford PA

Interesting that some solid physical presence in our midfield is reaping rewards. Some of us have been banging on about this for a long time and hopefully we'll take this strength into next season.

Re: Rugby League

That poster only joined to post that nonsense. Must be very bored to find their way to this thread! Pleased to see Widnes into the next round but they would have benefited from a home one.

Re: TW - Learning His Trade

Anyone owning up to being a member of the 'cult'? It's been a dire season and whilst I didn't expect us to be pulling up trees and racing into the top seven, it's just not good enough.

By Captains I presume you mean managers? Now is exactly the time to make changes with the whole summer to plan and organise for the next season.

Re: Rugby League

Ed, I take your point but that away end holds under 4,000 and those missing fans will be glad they stayed away! Ignore seventynine he posts drivel on the main forum.

Re: Another summer of change ahead

I've not seen much of Kneeshaw but is a goal every ten games enough (same at Sacramento)? Despite all the moaning about Ainge his record is slightly better and he's been playing centre half! Holness, a midfielder, has one in four.

Re: Boston V Darlington

GQ, is that tongue in cheek? If you seriously think that how do you justify it? If it wasn't for the loan signings I'm pretty sure we'd be in a relegation place. I've been pretty ambivalent towards the management team but I feel a change would improve the team and attendances.

Re: Darlington V FC United

First trip to BM. Good to see so many faces I meet at away games. Pleasantly surprised with the ground and I moved around to see it from a variety of places. Thought we played okay and once Thommo got going he was a constant nuisance. Defence was excellent and the new lads fitted in well although on...

Lad, he's been following Darlo for as long as I can remember. No need for the personal stuff, his comment was aimed at Gateshead not you personally. As for Spen he just badmouths us elsewhere.

Nonsense, that's not how it's used generally and anyway I've been watching Scottish premier highlights and Tommy Wright is St Johnstone's manager so problem solved.

Re: FC United

Totally unnecessary comment. I think he's done his best but it's a step too far and his record elsewhere supports that. I was ambivalent for a long time but now I'd be happy if he quietly walked away at the end of the season. Hoping to get to BM at last!

Don't know if it's the TV coverage but when (quite a while ago) I've seen Widnes at Warrington they filled the away end and at Castleford had a big travelling support.

After tea and a couple of pints in the glass House we entered Saints excellent new ground and after 10 minutes I wondered why we'd gone. But what a game and you were right Ed a small but very noisy hkr support!

Re: Darlington V Chester

That's a great post tofc. Made me think about working in a tight knit team doing a difficult and stressful job and how deflating it was when someone left. Brought it home about how tricky it must have been for the players with all the goings and comings and loans through the season. There's a horrib...

Didn't manage to listen tonight. Looking back on twitter seemed to have a few chances. Tommy says he's embarrassed by our results....really?! Perhaps he could follow Mrs May's lead. Did he really not use a sub? Could anyone there summarise? Cheers.

Re: Rugby League

The town has really come together over the Vikings. It's such a massive thing for them. When my lads were mascots at Feethams they wore Widnes socks.. only place I could get them! Wrong about Saints, I'm ambivalent but love underdogs. Good luck.
