Re: Darlington V Alfreton

Also, we've repeatedly shown we can compete with full time teams in individual games. Taken over the course of a season we may not be able to maintain the standards we set in some of those, and we may be relegated again, but we wouldn't be embarrassed by any stretch. Of course we should aim to go u...

Where is the statement that was promised this evening? I've only been in hospitality once & I wasn't expecting to enjoy it, but the meal exceeded my expectations & I'd do it again. dont forget the club/board are mainly volunteers, most of which will have full time jobs as well so will probably have...

I was told this at 5pm. There could be numerous reasons though, and I too wonder what they are.

He was there at the game so it looks like there hasn't been a fall out.
Unless he was told this at 5pm as well!
he knew before the game as i overheard him telling somebody in the car park.

Kings Lynn play York in 3 weeks BigDave, thanks for the update, I am going to build out the top 11, who they still have to play against each other home and away, so this game will be noted under both teams. If it's at Kings Lynn, I'm going with a home win, 1-0 or 2-1. yeah its at Kings Lynn on 18th...

I hope that wasn't your Cola Polar
The Cask Ale was good, but £2.80 for a burger in the darlo side, and £4.00 in the spenny side, bit unfair.
Spenny side probably got the better deal on the burger.
may well be two different catering companies if its still the catering vans

You think we won't get a crowd a 5000 more than once in the next 7 years?! We aren't in the Northern League anymore you might have noticed. I'll trust the judgement of DJ above yours with all respect. Chesterfield, Halifax, Notts County, Hartlepool, York, Harrogate, Gateshead, Stockport and Wrexham...

the model we could look at is Scarborough - went bust in 2007 and within 10 years now have their own ground paid for by years of fundraising and matched by sponsors and grants. Been to Scarborough's new ground, they were supported by the council to get back in the town but their new ground was very...

It is going reasonably well. We get a steady stream of people calling into Quaker retail and we have raised in excess of £100. I also have been selling some of the older programmes on facebook and have raised about £90 on there also. We have Darlo home and away programmes going back to the late 50'...

The club will need to know where they stand financially as early as possible, so they can appropriately forecast for this.
