In 2016 at Tamworth we were actually top of the NLN for 2 minutes when we got a first minute goal until Fylde scored v Stalybridge.

Re: Darlington V Boston

If Campbell is not scoring then he's assisting. Against Alfreton he put the ball on a sixpence for the equaliser. Then away at Leamington again he chips the ball in to the box on a sixpence for the first goal. AA has said that it'll take time for him to rediscover the skills and techniques needed to...

Re: Darlington V Boston

Boston is my local club and their ground is huge with masses of advertising space. Jakemans sponsor the stadium and the Co-operative has a significant sponsorship with one of the stands. Their new ground is on the edge of town and is part of a massive new project, with new houses and a retail park. ...

Actually Harry, I for one am glad LoidLucan posted that as I found it interesting.
Just shows that Armstrong's method of choosing a player, where both skill AND attitude count, is a strong one.

Re: Hereford v tamworth

They are going well but in terms of an away tie I would rather this one than any in the league above and lots in our league like a side such as Brackley, York or King's Lynn. It's a better tie than Hereford and far closer, allowing more fans to go and back us. I also don't think the plastic pitch w...

Getting way ahead of myself here but did anyone on this board go to Sunderland away in the FA Cup 1st round in 1987? Was just before my time but I only found out it happened by chance as it rarely gets mentioned in comparison to the Boro FA Cup game (Though I can guess why!) Yes, I did I got spat o...

No it means the FIFA does not permit the deal to happen outside of the transfer window
Surprised the transfer window isn't seen as restraint of trade especially in situations like this where seasons don't correspond exactly within the EU area.

Not sure if I agree to a points deduction or even a fine for the club. Hartlepool have a few BAME players, and a chairman of course. As Hignett says, quite rightly, they're an inclusive club and a few poorly behaved fans are obviously spoiling it for everyone. CCTV, stewards and other fans need to s...

There's something not right about this whole thing, and I'm talking about from Josh Heaton's side. He approached the club close season asking to come back as he'd lost his love for the game. AA then gave him a chance and Josh said all the right things, such as he understands that he'd have to fight ...

Difficult to know what to make of this really. AA's idea with Campbell is to reconvert him into the centre forward he used to be, as he's been played out wide which is not his preferred position, and given time he thinks he can be successful with him. Now we have more training sessions, hopefully this can be advanced.

Feel sorry for Josh Heaton at the moment. We were OK in the first half - probably the better side - but woeful in the second half in which we made our customary defensive slips and were generally second best all over the field. AA needs a rethink and get Galbraith in as soon as poss. So much for team bonding with an overnight stay. We did ...
