Re: Latest friendly

As some people have said, streaming only brings in income if there is any football. Worrying times for many clubs.

Re: Latest friendly

I'm guessing here, but in legal documents when it says 'Should' that is actually an imperative - i.e. it means 'must' I'd be surprised if the same principle didn't apply here - that 'it's best if spectators keep away from games' actually means that local authorities will say they can't attend. I'm a...

Re: impact on ground capacity

Was in a Daily Fail article lo. Knowing them they could have got their facts wrong. If Darlington itself isn't involved in the local lockdown (thanks to Peter Gibson for clarifying that actually), what about our supporters who live in the lockdown areas? Will they be allowed to travel to Darlo to sp...

Re: Latest friendly

Yes, I came from the Midlands and my dad who lives in Darlington had to buy tickets and post them next day delivery, so that was an issue.
Scarborough were sharper, you could tell that, and they were well up for it, whereas we took it for what it was, a training game.

Re: Latest friendly

I think we all agree that our recruitment of keepers needs improving. However, AA did admit he rushed it last year and that he'll take his time, using the loan route if need be. I think Saltmer will get his chance, but if found wanting then we'll go the loan route. A tough one though, as sometimes t...

Re: Latest friendly

I do feel you're digging yourself a hole a bit here Old Git. People are just asking for evidence for your claims so they can engage in a reasonable debate. If someone was asked to provide video evidence of Charman being sharp then there's plenty of it yesterday, whereas you'd struggle to provide evi...

Re: Latest friendly

I was wondering about that too. Old Git said that he felt Saltmer hadn't commanded his area well enough v Fleetwood, but that's the sort of thing that a highlights package wouldn't pick up.

Re: Watch

Some good build up play by ourselves. That was a big miss by Donawa at 2-0. Lovely move to set up Campbell but he shot just wide. Our trialist keeper had a good game. Already we have the winner of the softest penalty of the season. If it is Elton Ngwatala he's scored against us for Kidderminster bef...

Do you reckon he’s signed instead of a midfielder, as Hedley or Atkinson can move into the midfield.

This is the million dollar question. AA wanted an attacking midfielder, so that may be more Hedley than Atky

Re: impact on ground capacity

You would have thought that being classified as Elite Level sport, the criteria for steps 1 and 2 would be different. Not sure the clubs that have been mentioned would accept the FA putting an articificial limit which is over and above government guidelines. If they can still get crowds of 3,000 but...

Good. I hope the club do them for slander. We've also had some absolute idiots on here recently posting some very nasty stuff. Some people seem to have a bit of an agenda at the moment. If I was the club I'd be rather interested in finding the IP address and identity of some of the posters on both t...

Seemingly so, but lots of questions too. What does he intend to do with the stadium? What if we jumped into bed and 5 years down the line it's sold on etc.etc. But certainly no harm in talking to him.

What a spiteful little thing to say. We're in the middle of the pandemic, people are trying to be creative about this, and you spit your dummy out and say 'Fuck the club'. Bugger off to Spennymoor and support them instead You'd fit in we'll there. We don't want you here.

You don't necessarily get more injuries when you are older, it's just the recovery time that gets longer after an injury.
