Re: Leamington new ground
Without a decent ground or a vision to secure one I’m not entirely sure where we are going as a club. Even at this level it arguably has the worst away end in the league. I actually stood at the open end for the first time yesterday and it’s absolutely grim. For me this is priority 1 after this seas...

Re: Darlington V Chorley
The photograph shows the ball in its entirety well over the line by several inches so it is not 'just' over the line, and you fail to consider that the photograph shows this at a point before the defender's boot has made contact with the ball, which suggests that the ball would travel even further ...

It wasn’t even a foul. The lad tripped over himself which is obvious on the highlights.

Re: Spennymoor V Darlington
They were celebrating like they had won the league at the end of the match. I guess they will say it is sour grapes, but honestly I just don’t get the animosity towards us. Obviously we would have celebrated a win, because the 3 points would have been massive for us, but it would be the win that wa...

Re: Spennymoor V Darlington
I feel it is my duty to report that Spen is being a bell end on The Tin Shed and so please bear this in mind when he next posts on here. They’ve done the double for the first time so have the bragging rights for now. They forget they are the equivalent of an itchy arsehole, it bothers you for a sho...

Re: Reset
Yet again I ask, just what do you think we have for anyone to "invest" in? We are what is known as a paper club, ie, the only things we own are a few player's signatures on sheets of paper, some strips and a few balls. How much do you think our players will bring in investment? As far as I am aware...

Re: Any new faces
I’m sure we’ll get a full update from Ray in the pre match cut n paste … erm preview. The match preview was predictably terrible. It’s astonishing that we are staring relegation in the face and the comms from the media manager continue to be appalling. Asante has been out for a few weeks but no upd...

Re: Blood on hands/heads must roll
DJ has led us to a path of success, over the last few years while keeping the finances in check, so not going into administration again, and 6 leagues down. There have been innovations like the way you can pay by tapping on a terminal to pay which were led by the board members, (very rare at other ...

Re: Darlington v Alfreton 10/02/24
Sorry for missing the point, maybe you could take over then, is that the point? Successful business man etc? And if I had the time I would offer my services but my work takes up enough of my life without taking something else on. However I do help the club in other ways. Fair enough, I think DJ wou...

Re: Blood on hands/heads must roll
Without getting to much in to it, that mentality of being minnows, or the unlucky club, or the no money club, needs to stop right across the FC. We are Darlington Football Club, backed by a fantastic fan-base that provides the club with adequate resources (in terms of voluntary hours & financial su...

Re: Blood on hands/heads must roll
The numerous incidents on twitter this week have been embarrassing. I’ve had my own grievances with some of the characters involved in the spats and maintain one of the individuals involved (not on this forum as far as I’m aware) crosses the line consistently. That being said, we now have a club off...

Re: Banbury V Darlington
Did we? They’ve completely gifted us the goal and we created precisely nothing after scoring it and for the majority of the game. This is not a criticism of Watson who has done reasonably well since coming in. We are still dreadful though and a positive result on Saturday is backed up by a disaster ...

Re: Banbury V Darlington
Same issue, zero creativity. Hatfield & Platt both tough, hard working midfielders but neither of them can create literally anything. Liddle back to non existent self. Cannot win games with those 3 together. Add Salkeld to that, hauled off at HT Sent from my SM-A145R using Tapatalk Perfect example ...

That means very little. The most minutes he has ever managed in a full season is 2,700 and since then he has had surgery to his groin & knee, and he has declined further. It was patently obvious that spending such a huge amount of money on a player with such a terrible injury record was a bad idea....

You can’t raise 30k as a plea to get us out of this mess and then sign nobody though.
Not really how the scheme was advertised and would go down like a lead balloon.

It would be great if you could just be pleased that we won the match, without feeling it necessary to insult one of your own players. I say your own player, because I assume you do want the team to do well. Shut up you ginormous melt. Lees has been garbage this season, and we're bottom 4 for a reas...

May be DFC keeping status of availability secret to fox the opposition? I’m done with this Board. If you could drag yourself away from this website for 5 minutes you could put yourself forward. Alternatively we could delve into our endless list of candidates who would take on the task of running a ...

Re: Darlington V Rushall
We're going down guys. We just fucked off a 20 goal a season striker and then play his replacement for 8 minutes today. And for all of the ins and outs in the last few weeks, we started today with just 1 JG signing. Admittedly Lindley is a good player. I'm not interested in hearing how unlucky we w...

Re: Darlington V Rushall
Taylor needs to go, he is always letting his team mates down. Thought we played really well, with some great performances. If we play like that for the rest of the season, then we will have a good chance of avoiding the drop. JG has got us playing some pretty decent footie. But we always seem to be...

I don't think the aftermath of this public forum will do anyone much good at all and i mean club, board, staff, management and players. Accusations against people not there to defend themselves is not a great path to go down. And I see stuff like "It was also interesting to hear that Middlesbrough ...

Re: Hazel and Sukar
Gowling was basically asked, in general, about the perceived “isolation” of players, including these two but with a particular focus on Sukar. Hazel wasn’t really given much depth, as he’s only missed one squad but he did talk about Sukar. First of all, he stated that he does not isolate players wit...

Re: Forum
I think a lot of the reaction to the forum has been over the top. Firstly, the sound quality was a direct result of the incompetence of the venue. On arrival, I was greeted with the board, volunteers etc rearranging the entire room as the hotel had informed them last minute the speakers didn’t work ...

I said it many times Jacob Hazel is a goal scorer he needs to have a target man beside him to allow him to run onto the ball , his work rate of the ball is good some fans can't see the wood from the trees.I would back Jacob to come good with the right setup  Have you been watching the game...

Re: Peterborough V Darlington
Lawlor is out with a back injury so Lees takes his place, other than that an unchanged line up. Rivers added to the bench. Liddle, Curry and Windass injured. Strange that the left back loanee Winfield isn't in the squad either. No mention of Sukar, Mustoe in the official site match preview, everyon...
