Darlo odds

William Hills current odds offer Darlo at 25/1 to win league (joint 13th)

Stockport favourites at 6/1, York second favs at 13/2

Quarter odds 1,2,3

Roughly 8/1 to finish in top3 worth a shot - probably a bit optimistic for me, but would hope we are closer to playoffs than 13 or thereabouts

But I can't say anything about anything because in a Trust initiation ceremony I have signed a confidentiality agreement using a quill pen dipped in blood specially...

Re: Alarm bells ringing - Admission prices.

I suppose in the end it all boils down to basic economics. One thing we cannot do next season is lose money - there is no door marked 'owner' we can knock on to write a cheque to cover any shortage. If £12 is the price needed to ensure we break even or hopefully make a profit based on projected crow...

Re: My take on the ownership model

Many thanks for the explanation. I think its important that if at all possible the various supporters groups adopt a common approach - put their money into CIC or 1883 - and then work together to support the club. For reasons which may become clearer at the AGM on Monday the Trust have not been invol...

I have received my e-mail from crowdcube but am leaving it in my account with them until details are available on how to re-invest, but what i would like to know is it seems after reading various posts it is going to be easier to put the re-investment into the DUFF fund or another fan group rather ...

Great report - could make a living doing (rough) travel guides.

Whatever else Shildon may or may not offer to the discerning sophisticated Darlo supporter there seems to be no shortage of pubs.

Re: My take on the ownership model

It would be very useful if 1883 could give a definitive explanation - diagrams would be nice but probably not feasible - of the ownership model discussed last night, the different companies, the relationships between them, the investment options and routes for individuals and what that gets them. I ...

Re: NEW MANAGER APPOINTED WITHIN A WEEK

Craig McKenna was on Radio Tees this morning (about 8.45 ish). Apart from briefly explaining the rationale behind the Shildon move, he expalined that a number of things had to be done in a particular sequence; get ground lease agreed apply to FA for a league place next season (needed a ground to do ...

Re: New ground chosen?

Car pooling will reduce the price dramatically again. Most people don't go to games on their own. (Although last season I couldn't pay my mates to attend.) We've got to accept that if we want our club back to where we think we belong, or will accept a level we think we should be at, then we're goin...

Re: 1883 shareholder structure, board, elections & AGM

Elections can wait - the board have much much more important things to do - raise money, find a ground, appoint a manager, prise a football share from the FA ....... Those current members willing to stay should carry on until the close season in 2013. If more bodies are needed for the workload or pa...

Re: (Echo) Three-year target for return to Football League

A bit optimistic I think - there is a fine balance to be achieved between positivity, keeping momentum going etc and unrealistic expectations which lead to disappointment and criticism down the line (as in 'Premiership in 5 years' or somehting similar). As Qz said there is also the issue of ground s...

May have missed it in all the posts, but was the complication over transfering the football share resolved, or do we have to apply to the FA for a new one (we could just say we have mislaid the original)

Re: Possibly require 100k before end of June - if 1883 do de

My understanding is that the 100K buys the clubs assets and that includes the future monies for Dan Burn, Michael Smth and David Stockdale. The original 70K deposit that was paid by the Rescue Group may well be a part of the 100K as well, so if all goes well we only need 30K to keep the club tickin...

Re: Possibly require 100k before end of June - if 1883 do de

I thought HM has said in the past that he would only agree to a buy out if there was a viable plan to keep the business going - so that it didn't fall flat on its face in a few months. If that is so I can't see how he could agree to sell the club to 1883 today (at whatever price) if further funds wo...

surely we should have an option whether to leave the money in or get it back. I dont mind leaving my money in until they come back with a way forward. Re: Midday Tomorrow Deadline

Wouldn't suprise me if HM had given some sort of deadline. As far as he is concerned there is no bid on the table - season over so even the trickle of money coming in has dried up - this can't go on for long before he pulls the plug.

Re: CVA meeting cancelled

I suppose there isn't much point at this stage. The only benefit to the club as I understand it was an agreed CVA would allow us to play in the BSN (subject to OK by the FA), and that no longer appears to be an option due to the ground issues. The ground isn't the issue, it's Raj. If Raj had played...

I don't think there'd be much of a conflict of interests if he coached at a club 4 or 5 divisions higher than the one he managed. If BSN was borderline full or part time then Evostick will definitely be part time - including the manager - would only be viable for someone with another job, in or out of football.
