Just contributed to the cause. I'm a first time investor since boost the budget was incepted by the club, glad and grateful to be in a position to help towards the budget.

Re: Happy Chris Senior Day

Have to say watching the match back in its entirety I'd forgotten in my opinion how even and edgy I thought the match was it was actually just as nerve shredding even knowing the eventual result! :o  We were slight favourites on the day, but I think a combination of nerves and the humidity stif...

Re: Boost the budget

Bit of a while since I last posted and I hope all are well and staying safe wherever you are in the world. :) In my opinion BtB gives the club some sort of indication of support and funds, especially needed at this unpredictable moment in time. It will give us a much better foundation for when some ...

Coronavirus and DFC

So there has been confirmation that the first case of this virus has reached Darlington and interestingly enough the last bit of information from the Northern Echo related to DFC and whether it will effect our matches. Whether or not the individual has any association with the club in an official ca...

A battling win by the sound of it and the type we need to win to keep the pressure on those above. Looking ahead, it is looking more and more likely that our playoff destiny will hinge on Gateshead away, which is effectively the 6 pointer, although the obvious cliché is we now have to treat the last...

So what are the rules on signing and playing players, is it clubs within a calendar year or is it reset at the end of the season? I assume we are ok signing him again on loan within the same season, even with his loan spell at Blyth? Don't want us falling foul of player ineligibility and I'm not sur...

Wasn't O'Neill on the bench for Boro tonight? ls it strange he was on the pitch pre-match for us on Saturday and then on their bench tonight, can't fathom what's going on with this situation at the moment?

Re: Hereford

A good point that halts the slide in form. Honestly, I would’ve taken a point before kick off, and a late equaliser is always nice. Haven’t seen any highlights yet, obviously, but nice to see Omar on the scoresheet. He’s been underused lately imo. Should we not have a bit more ambition than to be s...

Re: Hereford

Agree Holness should be in our starting line-up. There wasn't too much wrong with our midfield trio of Hatfield, Wheatley and Holness earlier in the season, was there? Except we had O'Neill up front. We haven't got anyone to fill that role now. Campbell needs a big lad up there to bring the best ou...

Re: Hereford

A point away at Hereford is a decent result. However, if you are being hypercritical it is probably 2 points dropped in the circumstances of chasing a playoff place. With results of teams around us you have to try and cash in on wins, draws get you nowhere when you are hunting down the top 7. I thin...

Looking at the fixtures to come, we have played a lot of the top teams away already and some of them twice meaning if we can keep the tempo and consistency against the lower teams, our run in is favourable. To play... 1. Kings Lynn (h) 4. Brackley (h) 5. Boston (a) 6. Alty (h) 8. Gateshead (a) 10. ...

Re: Eight games in 29 days.

The significance of winning tonight is that it has bought us a 'free hit' at Chester, I think we now have a buffer to at least 7th even if we lose and accounting for other teams having games in hand... that is the important difference between winning games like tonight and drawing. We are playoff co...

Re: Eight games in 29 days.

Draw your 'difficult' away matches and win at home puts you in a strong position over a season. However, really draws get you nowhere and winning matches creates the big moves. I'd be going to Guiseley and Chester expecting to win, on current form and despite our defence it may be a case of winning ...

Good to see us climb into the top 7, it will be interesting to see how long we can remain in the playoffs considering that other clubs have games in hand, scoreboard pressure may play it's part. At the very least at the moment we are playing with confidence and belief that we can go and beat anyone ...

Would be strange if it was financial considering we have just brought Martin in on loan? Maybe a disagreement over direction of club? Shouldn't speculate so that's as far as I will go until something is confirmed.

Not just the delivery of set-pieces but we haven't had enough players to target when throwing it into the box. We may have a bit more presence now with Reid and Martin, sometimes I think because of this we have been reluctant to go direct at times.

Re: Darlington V Spennymoor

The difference with Campbell now is that he isn't the only threat. Reid/Martin if he signs, are going to not only take the pressure off him but free him centrally to find the space to work these openings and with his finishing abilities he will score goals. We have seen this in the last two matches,...

Altrincham seem to have a hoodoo over York City, knocked them out of the FA Cup and Trophy both times 1-0 away from home too. Also not many North East teams are left in it looking at the results from yesterday. So hopefully a lower league opposition at home and the draw is live on TalkSport2 at 1245...

The main thing the club and management need to do from this point is carry on the momentum. It was lost after the first season in the NLN and Gray's departure and stagnated during Wright's reign. A new manager in Armstrong who has a set way, a clearer tactical plan and the luck of a decent cup run (...
