Re: Early odds

Spendy and Gloucester are exceptional value there. i fancy Gloucester for the league (if it starts) Funny club, Gloucester. Often tipped at the start of the season and yet never seem to live up to their potential. In the 11 consecutive seasons they've spent in the NLN or NLS they've never finished ...

Re: Watch

No - because not only is Devante Cole way too good for this level - he also looks nothing like the trialist. You’d think it would be simple to do a quick Google search and actually realise neither Ngwatala or Cole look absolutely nothing like the player in the highlights.... Have done and I wouldn'...

Re: New keeper

I was told by somebody last night we have a former Barrow goalkeeper on trial. Apparently was out injured for a while last season does anybody know who he is ? I would guess it's Johnny Saltmer. Signed for Barrow last year after a loan spell from Hull City, however he was released after their promo...

Re: Spectators in grounds

Which is why what we have proposed and the idea put out by DJ to encourage local Premier League and Football League clubs to pair with National League clubs makes real sense. If not there is a risk in my opinion of a vacuum between the top 2 leagues and non-league below us and clubs like us will be ...

NLN line up gets stronger and stronger each season. Was hoping to lose Brackley to NLS, but no such luck.
I agree, it's harder to guess who might struggle than those who could do well.

Re: Maguire & Langstaff Released

Maguire signing is another pretty big statement of intent. Great options up top now, just a matter of AA finding the right combination and keeping everyone content as I would imagine there will have to be a fair bit of rotation. Hopefully, the season can start in some form!

Laurent Blanc was at least 38 when he joined Man Utd...ended up with a Premier League winners medal. Age is just a number and if you still have the fitness and desire to play then I don't see a problem with signing him.

Very pleased with both signings and could be a pretty good piece of business... once the new season starts, here's hoping! On paper we are beginning to have the makings of a squad more than capable of challenging in the top 7 I just hope we can get going at some point in the future.

Orange is my choice, it's been a while since we have had that option of a change kit and we have had a green away shirt a couple of times in recent years.

Bit of a while since I last posted and I hope all are well and staying safe wherever you are in the world. :) In my opinion BtB gives the club some sort of indication of support and funds, especially needed at this unpredictable moment in time. It will give us a much better foundation for when some ...

A battling win by the sound of it and the type we need to win to keep the pressure on those above. So what are the rules on signing and playing players, is it clubs within a calendar year or is it reset at the end of the season? A good point that halts the slide in form. Honestly, I would’ve taken a point before kick off, and a late equaliser is always nice. Haven’t seen any highlights yet, obviously, but nice to see Omar on the scoresheet. He’s been underused lately imo. Should we not have a bit more ambition than to be s...

Agree Holness should be in our starting line-up. There wasn't too much wrong with our midfield trio of Hatfield, Wheatley and Holness earlier in the season, was there? Except we had O'Neill up front. We haven't got anyone to fill that role now. Campbell needs a big lad up there to bring the best ou...

A point away at Hereford is a decent result. However, if you are being hypercritical it is probably 2 points dropped in the circumstances of chasing a playoff place. With results of teams around us you have to try and cash in on wins, draws get you nowhere when you are hunting down the top 7. I thin...

Looking at the fixtures to come, we have played a lot of the top teams away already and some of them twice meaning if we can keep the tempo and consistency against the lower teams, our run in is favourable. To play... 1. Kings Lynn (h) 4. Brackley (h) 5. Boston (a) 6. Alty (h) 8. Gateshead (a) 10. ...
