Well I guess there’s always something negative to moan about if you look hard enough. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I would suggest you have a look at the highlights of the game and then tell me the marking out is acceptable for our level of football.Christ,I watched a game on North park this ...

Groundsman

Do we actually have one or is this something else the rugby lot are making an arse of.The pitch wants two inches of grass off it and the marking out is a joke.By the end of the game today they had nigh on disappeared.

Re: Farsley V Darlington Match Thread

P.s. Wasn’t the pitch absolutely terrible. How can you play football on that? Of course, that’s the idea. The worst pitch I’ve ever seen for this time of the season. No wonder Rotherham knocked it back a couple of weeks ago.About as flat as a corrugated sheet with three inches too much grass. That sa...

A powder-puff, half-hearted, glove-wearing fanny who typifies why we’ve struggled the last couple of years. Honestly don’t know what people have seen to claim he has ability barring literally a 30 minute cameo in the 18 months or so he was with us. Surely destined for the lower echelons of non-leag...

Re: Halifax Friendly Now at Blackwell Meadows

I’m not convinced by Bascome either, he seems a bit sluggish and lightweight. Also, how crap are the Rugby Club? The club clock, their club clock, is still not telling the right time - how difficult is it to organise someone to wind it up/reset it, or fix it? Either that or brick it up, as to me it...

Think you’re preaching to the converted on here mate.Maybe a campaign in the Echo might do some good but I’m sure Craig Morley will be all over that.

Can't imagine our pitch is better than theirs. Bit disappointed was looking forward to going down to Halifax for this game.
Our pitch has got grass on it .Theirs hasn’t.
Council groundsmen to blame apparently.

This is just another example of the gulf between us and our friendly landlords. If indeed the groundsman has gone and they have done bugger all about it and just let one of their “volunteers “ have a go at the pitch ,then we certainly have a right to kick off about it. We are now into our third seaso...

Re: BM - Surface

We desperately need some form of sprinkler system. Spennymoor now have 20 pop up sprinklers with the new football league standard pitch, you could always borrow some water, just turn up with buckets. Also spennymoor will have no problem getting pitch waterlogged in a dry spell this season. [/quote]...

I chatted with Chris Stockdale at the end of lst season and he indicated pitch costs were shared and that work would be done done May/June ready for pre season matches. Great signing.

We wont get bullied in the middle if we can play him and Holness together.
Or a fully fit Wheatly in there with him could be a bit tasty.A lot to look forward to for this season on yesterday’s showing.

Very happy with what I saw today apart from one player who and I don't know if there is a problem looked a couple of yards slower than the rest and looked lazy losing the ball and not chasing back ,even when he had best chance of winning it. Still think we're lacking more of a target man in the team up who can hold the ball up front to take some pressure off the defence when needed. Will be surprised if we don’t have a big CF on trial against Motherwell along with a couple more midfielders,so looking forward to seeing how we shape up i...

If Trotman goes and we successfully move on Burn and Glover, then the only first team players remaining would be Thompson, Wheatley and Galbraith! This really highlights what a cobbled together mess that Wright made of his signings, so much so that AA needed to have a complete and utter clear out. ...

I’m sure it’s been posted in here but Jordan Nicholson has joined Reece Styche at Hereford. So (if true) Styche has notched up another Club to mark on his bedpost. Three in 12 months and counting. I never understood some fans "loyalty" to him. Yes circumstances may have meant we had to sell him, bu...

2 or 3 bolted together would improve the top end of BM immensely and if they can be moved it could make the problem of the water pipe surmountable (in the highly unlikely scenario that they would ever need access to it).
