Re: Signings

Just read on the vanamara site that Styche has been made available for transfer and negotiations are ongoing and a deal is close. Wonder where he is going next? Hope it is for some unfeasibly large fee and that we had a sell-on clause in his transfer - Reece might just land us another boost to the ...

Re: Alun Armstrong

Could be he’s got a few key players lined up That is guaranteed, expect incomings. Also as mentioned Spenny will be announcing some signings as well by all accounts. Do Spenny know that they are allowed to release players, too? Or are they trying to build the biggest squad in the NLN ;) As for our ...

Just hope the Echo hasn’t jumped the gun to soon, I am now getting a bit nervous about the lack of confirmation from the club, the cats out the bag so to speak, be a massive downer if it’s untrue Good point, very worrying that there has been no formal announcement on the club web-site or some other...

;) If Blyth fans want to see AA & those exiting, they would be welcome to boost the gates at BM. Seems like we got our man, so let's get behind him and start building a side to win in style. Well done to our negotiators. Now they are not so busy , could they give us a hand to sort Brexit :...

Re: New Manager Interviews this week

If they applied for the job and took the job at DFC, and resigned from their current jobs, would we still have to pay compensation? I guess their current employers could refuse to let them go in theory, although in practice none would. Perhaps we'll agree to play a pre-season friendly with them. :r...

Re: New Manager Interviews this week

Think I just saw DJ getting on the London train at Bank Top. Probably going down to Wembley so he can announce the new Darlo manager to the world, live on TV. Obvious really, it is so our widely spread fans all get to know at precisely the same time!

Re: Boost The Budget 19/20

Some queries about BTB:- (1) Is the BTB deadline date fixed, or is it like Brexit? ;) (2) Have we fixed the managerial interview shortlist or can we add someone who has recently become available ( but not Theresa May  )? (3) If we had charged every applicant a nominal fee (say £100) could we h...

Even mike ashley himself admitted sacking houghton was a mistake and who knows he may return there.
Hughton has more integrity than to go back to work for Ashley.
Seems like a long time since Darlo played Mansfield, does anyone remember that last game😏

Leeds always manage to fluff it when favourites, just add the Derby result to a long list even before 1973 FA cup final against Sunderland.
Agree with Shildonlad that another English manager in Premiership is good and prospect of nasty Terry v nice Lampard is tasty.

Re: Darlington's 'demise'....

I think he might be a little optimistic if he thinks they can break even on an average of 860 fans per game. If they do go up my guess is their average crowd will actually drop... No Darlington, no Blyth and no York City..I know pools will take a few but no more than we did. Also, they have had a s...

Re: The silken maccalsfield

There is something radically wrong with football and the way financial regulations are being enforced. Surely the FA need to get off their F** A****, get some proper auditors in to check their books and sort out the owners. Fans are being conned, abused and fleeced of their heritage. Premier League ...

Could South Shields buy Gateshead for £1 as their owner stated he would put it up for sale (plus someone refunding his £200k bond with FA). What is to stop them buying the GFC name and rebadging but in National League, thus leapfrogging the NLN? FA really have to get a grip on club finances, not jus...

Very quick and gifted winger who regularly whipped in great crosses, as previously stated often squandered by Jimmy Seal. Could have gone on to better things.

Surprised nobody has referred to the FA cup game when Wanderers came to Feethams & over 21k were rammed in (no Health & Safety in those days - so i watched it sat on the grass in front of West stand!). As usual with Cup games, Quakers lost, but not before giving Lofthouse & Co a torrid time.

I believe that you can get to Wolsingham from Darlo by going via Shildon. He could pop into his academy on the way back home and fill up at that cheap Jet petrol station whilst stocking up on Londis lager. We could also do training on his indoor pitches and then take the players on team bonding ses...

Apart from the well worked Nico goal, best bit was the players shaking hands with fans at the Tin Shed end. TW got a respectful send off as did Harvey Saunders. Thanks for your efforts & best wishes for their futures.

Think we are missing a fundraising opportunity here. Suggest for every vote, a contribution of £1 to BTB fund for benefit of the new manager. Every one would be a winner.
