Re: F A TROPHY ~ WEALDSTONE MATCH?
We should be ready to play & if Wealdstone don't fancy it, they can forfeit. OK we will be ring-rusty & if the pitch is fit, I would rather give the lads their chance than just let Wealdstone pick up the prize. They may not think it will be worth the long trip & testing etc. Am sure we could get the...

Re: Season at risk of finishing early
Not had any acknowledgement from our MP, let alone any interest in the plight of soccer at our level You can email him here, peter.gibson.mp@parliament.uk , he will reply , I have emailed him in the past when we were trying to get grants etc. before the season started, but as I am not one of his co...

Re: Season at risk of finishing early
Hopefully these 2 weeks will give the League management committee time to reflect on the mess they have created. Not expecting any miracle so perhaps mass resignation is the least they could do. Certainly don't expect the FA or DCMS to come up with a sensible solution.

Re: David Johnson : We are in a sad position
As usual a great interview from Ray Simpson with David Johnson to keep us as owners of the club in the picture regarding the 2 week suspension & the chances of the season continuing. Nothing to reveal that we didn't really know but good to hear the clarification from DJ. Again DJ was very frank & o...

Re: Season paused
On the plus side, our lads are now spared a long return journey through icy weather down to Kettering (along with the DFR/QTV crew) and there is more time for the injured players to return. Not sure whether there is enough room for the negatives, just seems like National League have booted the can d...

Re: Season at risk of finishing early
Isn't it illegal to insist workers ply their trade in an unsafe environment? It illegal not to take all necessary steps to mitigate - which is effectively to operate in line with FA covid guidance. You can't remove all risk from a workplace ultimately otherwise the construction industry would be fi...

Re: Kettering Away Saturday 23rd January
Will the game take place? As well as all the doubts concerning the pandemic it seems possible that the pitch may not be playable anyway. Kettering Chairman has signed the letter to the League asking for matches to be halted so wondering if there will be much of an attempt to get the game on. So lon...

Re: Season at risk of finishing early
Perhaps one of the things we can do as individual fans is lobby our MP to support DJ and raise with HMG the question of funding towards the rest of the season without fans, in order to comply with HMG's Covid restrictions? Certainly worth a try as our local MP should have the ear of the government,...

Re: Season at risk of finishing early
Having read DJ's official club response to the 3 options proposed at the Wednesday meeting of NL, I am grateful we have have such a level headed business man in charge. Would not swap that man for some egomaniac with millions to throw away. As fans we should stick together & back DJ 100%

Re: Season at risk of finishing early
At all levels, football clubs cannot solely rely on gate receipts and our Board have identified this. It must be an integral part of the community, providing much more than 90mns of football every other week. Darlo fans recognised this when the club was resurrected and one of the first aims was to p...

Slightly confusing title, actually this was an FA Trophy game.
Leamington through, as are Woking, Torquay, Hereford, Aldershot and Southport.
More games tonight (Christoph permitting!)

Bloody typical, just when it was obvious to nearly every Quaker fan that we were going to Wembley to win the FA Trophy and then smash the league by winning every game thus winning promotion.

FT 3-1 so bring on Wealdstone who must be gutted to be drawn away 'oop North' in February. Prize money not eaten into by travel costs too

Re: Home Kit Vote
Mr Trump has a point about rigged voting systems, in fact the need for a change in shirts is fake news. He sponsored the orange strip worn at Farsley as it was the exact same colour as himself.

Great team & club effort all round. Hopefully we get drawn at home on 6th Feb, although TBF some of our best performances were away from home this season. Still £5250 into the club coffers and a go at another £6k next round.

My pal in Poole reckons it is dry & 4C today in Poole plus forecast for rain & up to 11C Saturday. If the bus gets through fog & ice today, game should be on.

Farsley doing well to keep game on. Chorley is the only other game on tonight. Can expect a very wet & sticky pitch & hope it doesn't freeze during the game

Anyone remember the Liverpool v Atletico Madrid last year? Not just a bad result on the pitch for Liverpool FC but also a superspreader event which knocked the whole country. We can do without the Euros this year.

Northern League are considering making their season null&void, so for once they are showing some initiative & putting the FA and all the 'elite' leagues to shame.

Re: Shorter games ?
Wiseacre has a point, at least a break until end of the lockdown, otherwise we will continue to be treated to games like Aston Villa U18s v Liverpool or even Chorlton winning FA Cup as the only side without Covid. Add in a cold snap causing as many postponements as Jan 9th in the NLN & the whole thi...
