Gutted. I hope we got a good sell on clause.

Can’t begrudge him the chance though.

Re: Swindon away

Yep. Bit rubbish that. Unlikely to make it on the telly, likely to get a walloping. Free shot. In relegation spot currently bit like ourselves! Bet they are more worried than we are. Of course. They'd be more worried if it was our place I think. Although, given everything is in an empty stadium, ma...

Pedro Paulo, Rui Neves. If I was picking my all-time Darlo XI, Pedro would be in it. I think he only played something like six games for us, but I loved that guy. He died on my 19th birthday  José Quitongo's Angolan, but another Portuguese we've supposedly had was that Paulo Mendes lad we were...

I’m a big fan, as I’ve said before. Welcome back Omar. It’s a shame it’s a non-contract instead of a year. He may get picked off by another club if he plays well.

Re: Darlo TV

Anyone know what last night's audience figure was? Just over 700 according to the comms last night.Dont know how many were pubs though. Not just pubs but people at home / families etc aren't going to buy it 2 / 3 times for multiple people watching. I'd think it'd be a safe assumption at least 2,000...

Re: Harvey Saunders

Absolutely delighted for him. He's still a young lad with the potential to get better and I'm sure the rough and tumble of the NLN did him no harm at all.

If he could go on to be a superstar and we have a nice sell-on clause, that'd be real nice too ;)

Re: Fylde Tuesday night

Nothing to do with Fylde and their attitude to stuff tbh and everything to do with the fact that we know that streaming is £7.99 per household per game. Whereas the average revenue per household per game would probably be in the region of £12 - £16. Appreciate we have some government funding now bu...

If only we could produce a similar talent... That sort of money could fund our own stadium.

York will probably just waste it.

Re: Fylde Tuesday night

The real question is are DFR going to be there? I won't be paying into another clubs coffers while my own club's finances are in jeopardy. This is wise - and maybe a thought for some - sacrifice the visual for a donation to the club and make do with audio... While Fylde are a bit cnuty, I do...

Retires.

Fair play. I sort of respect the sheer dedication it must've taken to stay at Blyth all the time.

Christ though, Blyth will be lucky to hold on this season.

Re: Update Required?

Very few stewards these days are volunteers. Probably even less so during Covid when you factor in those that are, are mainly elderly and won’t want to put themselves at risk when they don’t have to. I certainly wouldn’t be doing the role that I did and I’m much younger than many. Additional paid r...

That's sad for him. I suspect that's probably him done in football (certainly at this level). Two years of not playing are probably pretty fatal for his career.

Re: FA cup game to be played at BM

Is the game being streamed live, and is it being shown un in the clubhouse? It takes a special kind of genius to come up with this -. https://twitter.com/FACupFactfile/status/1310938436736610304 To be fair, how many would you get in the clubhouse safely distanced? About 40 downstairs and 40 upstair...

Re: Update Required?

It’s absolutely pointless having 300 fans in at this sort of level and above. It would cost the club more to put a game on with those numbers than we’d make which is why it isn’t a solution that has been implemented any higher than league where that sort of number is the norm. How? Our stewards and...

if we could do it in a safe way to let a few home fans in, hopefully we can make it happen  Letting a few hundred watch Shields or the Northern League, in much smaller venues, but forbidding it at our level is a nonsense. Re: Update Required?

- Estimates the national leagues would need 30 million to keep all clubs afloat for the season I wonder how this would work with clubs that are subsidised by a benefactor, i.e. not viable proposition without major backing? Should the government be chucking taxpayers money at a rich mans play thing?...

Re: Update Required?

Interesting that the meeting with the new chairman and board at Darlington RFC is described as "welcoming, positive, friendly and dynamic" and they are "keen to draw a line under some of the problems of the past". Words like that used over our relationship at BM certainly sounds encouraging. Indeed...

I will be buying the game this weekend anyway. I do hope we get a season for obvious reasons, but also to ensure our players get paid. While I’d imagine most have other jobs, this will be a significant amount of their income. We need support from the higher levels, obviously, but I still think we s...

Re: FA cup game to be played at BM

I’m genuinely surprised this is allowed? We must’ve asked the FA if it was ok I suppose, but I thought there are some pretty stringent rules with using more than one stadium. Perhaps it being the cup makes a difference. Tbh if, as it looks to be the case, we might not have fans in the stadium at all...

Re: FA Cup Draw

I have no idea what the situation is. The league are now saying it *will* start (despite 80% saying they opposed it without fans) Unless they're arguing that now they are not elite sport (as it never should have been) and can host limited crowds like the level below? (Is it 300 they're limited to?)....

I hate the arena arguably more than anyone on here, but you're being an idiot (or, more likely, a deliberate troll... which makes me wonder why you don't have anything better to do...).
