Re: Away kit poll

No one ever says the Dutch look like they’ve been tangoed... but it needs black shorts! Where as the burgundy would look good with either the same colour shorts or black... which makes me lean towards it...

Eager to see the other choices...

Away kit poll

Tough call, I haven’t voted yet.

I’d like to know what the shorts are - if the orange has black shorts then it’s a winner for me. Some total football Darlo style would be nice next year!

That said, I just like deep red... if it’s going to be all orange, I’d maybe go for that.

Re: Retained List

Holness has his new agent. A quick look at their website says there was supposed to be a trial game in June at Harrogate's CNG ground which was going to be televised to scouts in multiple countries. Who knows when that game will be rearranged to. But good luck to him. If he wants to take that risk ...

Re: To Tez Galbraith

Could see him ending up at Shields.

I’d like him to stay, but I think reduced terms are probably right at this stage. A great servant, but he isn’t a guaranteed starter at this point, just like Thommo wasn’t.

Re: Luke Trotman on his way

Hopefully Trotts will make a full comeback but he will need a bedding in period wherever he goes because of his injury, I can't see many teams taking a punt on him if they have to pay a fee to get him. While we are in this league we should be looking at players locally, especially when we are part ...

Re: Thommo

You could put Campbell out wide & he would still contribute more than what Thompson did last season. Totally agree. I wouldn’t mind us doing that and getting another striker in who can lead the line. I know Campbell likes to lead the line, but he strikes me as a team player who will do as he is ask...

Re: Thommo

I don't think for one moment Thompson said: "This is what I'd like to say" and then reeled off all this club going in only one direction, long admired them and love the owner and manager spiel. It reads exactly what it is... a pre-written Pride Of press release to tell everyone they are the best. T...

Gould from Spendy is a decent keeper isn’t he? Could be an option if we don’t go down the route of a loanee, although I could see Hemming on loan as an option.

Re: Thommo

I’m really confused by those angry at this news. I know it’s a minority, but a vocal one. He wasn’t starting for us last season anyway, and genuinely, I’m not entirely convinced he’s still up to it at this level (on a regular basis anyway). He will have been one of our top earners, but i really stru...

Gone.

A little bit sad he won’t make a testimonial, but I think it’s probably time from a footballing perspective. Legs are going for this level sadly.

The part of the interview that struck me the most, weren't the parts about how Pools were struggling financially, how he couldn't find investors etc etc. It was his talk about the care-homes when asked about how his other business were in these difficult times. Totally disagree with that decision. Very sad to see him go. I think he’s capable of playing at a higher level. Hope it doesn’t come back to bite us on the backside.

Chris Elliott gone also, which feels harsh. On a lighter note, Ainge is gone.

The club might well honour some of our flexi tickets for next year. It seems a decent thing to do, and I can't imagine it's a huge amount of people that are affected anyway. Maybe the club might make our opening FA Cup / FA trophy games free for holders of this years season / flexi tickets. It might...

In the Newcastle bandwagon years (late 90s to early 00s) we were doing ok crowd wise. Better than now.

I can’t imagine it’ll make much of a difference, even if they end up being non-rubbish.

I'll be fairly appalled if the council *do* throw money at it, especially with everything going on in the world right now. This absolutely should not be a priority for public money. It's in a shocking state for a stadium so young, and even updating it isn't sustainable in its current state, because ...

Re: New initiative by the club 'Virtual Tickets'

An article on the Stafford Rangers Website says they have fixed costs of £6,000 even when not operating. Quite scary to realise the costs involved even after furloughing staff, no games to put on etc. Obviously, Stafford will have different costs to Darlington as they have their own ground and will...

Re: National League advises ending the season

Honestly, I think the powers that be need to get a grip and make a decision themselves. Clubs are ultimately going to vote in their own self-interest. Someone without a vested interest needs to make the decision, there is no way there will be a unanimous decision made by clubs, and this isn't a demo...

Gotta be a fully fit, in his prime Gabbiadini, although a fully fit, in his prime Andy Collett would improve the team no end too. (I say in his prime Gabbiadini, obviously, his prime was at Sunderland and Derby, but I mean to the best level he played at for us. Collett, on the other hand, had his be...

There must be some versions out there somewhere. I've no idea if the club would have any.

An online watchalong would be great. I've noticed Boro doing it and it's gone down well.
