Re: Team v BPA
I can't believe that people are saying field a weakened team tomorrow to concentrate on the cup. We play our best line up for both, or what's the point? And if we *must* prioritise one match over the other, then prioritise BPA. We are W3 L4 in the league (assuming the Boston result stands, which it...

Re: Team v BPA
It's personal view. My perspective is that resting key players against BPA decreases the change of victory in that game by more than it increases the chance of victory against Bristol Rovers. That doesn't feel like value for money but can see that the prize is greater in the FA Cup game. It is risk...

Re: Team v BPA
I don't disagree that "if players are fatigued" they should be rested. That is 100% what you should do. I don't sign up to resting players who are completely fit for an FA Cup. Four days is entirely relevant it is 33% more recovery time than is usually available when playing two games a week. Which...

Re: Alfreton...
Interesting "explanation" by AA as to why our keepers sometimes kick the ball out for a throw in. Said something like " we are not going to win any headers with our midgits up front so we let them have the throw in and build from there!" Whilst the odds on us winning the ball in a heading dual are ...

Re: Team v BPA
Bit fanciful given its been well reported wide-scale vaccination until March/April. 180minutes in 6 days? Is that two games in a week in old money? I'd prefer we started as strong as we can against BPA and use our subs. We have 4 days before we play again. In reference to the 180 minutes comment th...

Re: EFL Clubs to use up to 5 Subs
I doubt that anyone has ever pulled a muscle by walking. But aren't you just as likely to get a muscle injury in training as you are playing a proper match? So I don't know whether schedule of fixtures is totally responsible for such injuries. Holness for example was that a muscle injury last night...

Personally, I wouldn’t be against a permanent move to the Arena if this temporary switch went well.
All hypothetical, of course.

My thanks go out to DJ, board members, volunteers who have worked very hard to get this on and thanks to both rugby clubs having sensible discussions and outcomes. Possible season ticket holders used for test games, home draw for FA cup would be great . No it wouldn't we've never won a single cup t...

There’s a rumour that has surfaced on The Football Forum that we’re in for York’s goalkeeper, Ryan Whitley, on a loan deal.
AA mentioned a potential loan goalkeeper in his post-match interview after the Boro game.

Re: Maguire & Langstaff Released
AA brought Green to Blyth originally on loan, and then signed him permanently the summer before last. To be fair he gave him his first proper crack of the whip in the men’s game. There may be some loyalty playing a part in Green’s decision. That, coupled with the fact that we can offer a very good p...

Re: Attacking options
I think all six will receive ample game time. Technically we have gained three new players in Holmes, Charman and Maguire, however we also lost Thompson who played quite a few games last season. Last season, at times, we could probably have done with a couple more options going forward. We were too ...

Because he’s a Bishop Auckland based, experienced full-back that would do a good job for us - and would also free up Hedley to play in his actual position. On this thread; Tait - Not good enough. Re: The Team 20/21 season
Surely if he's been released by Gateshead, he'll not be as good as what we've already got? That’ll be the team that finished four points ahead of us with two games in hand and a +16 goal difference. Oliver made 27 appearances for them and he reached the play-offs under Blyth with AA. I also think w...

Re: The Team 20/21 season
Purely now it’s all speculation and putting 2 + 2 together as apparently York are cutting costs and AA has worked with Jameson, Langstaff, Maguire before. AA has said himself in his interview that we need to be patient regarding the final decision from the EFL and NL, although to be honest as York l...

Tait wasn’t good enough to always get a start for us several years ago, I’d be disappointed with that one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk If you’re talking about his time with us during his loan-spell, he did make quite a few appearances if I remember right. We also had Hunter (who made TNE’s T...

Re: The Team 20/21 season
Tait would improve us. He has just came off the back of 32 appearances for a club top of our league. Watson also rewarded him with a one year contract last summer - I think he had a spell as captain for them the season before too. For all he’s the pantomime villain when we come up against him, he is...

Beyond increased corporate hospitality capacity, what are these revenue streams? It is still owned by DMP.... and even talking about hospitality alone... how many are we realistically going to sell? There's a limit to interest in these leagues. The ground holds 3,300 (I agree 3,000 is more sensible...

OK - if this is on the cards, let’s find out what the business plan is first before being dismissive. For all the match-day experience at the Arena leaves a lot to be desired, so does Blackwell. I can list pro’s and con’s to both in all honesty. The Arena could unlock further revenue streams, and da...

Re: Darlington V Blyth
You can’t include Bascome as Wheatley is much better and Donawa is a sub! I also doubt Holmes would star .. in his two games he was very ineffective. So only Trotman and Liddle missing with Atkinson and to a lesser extent, Watson as able deputies. It was scrappy, Blyth had good chances and we didn’...

The Bermuda lads play tonight and Sunday so back for next week. This lad is a midfielder and at 20 it’s not like he’s an experienced pro who can fill in a position like David Atkinson and Will Hatfield can. According to Stoddart, he has been signed to play right-back. Let’s not write him off before...

Incredibly frustrating and amateurish by the Rugby club really. It’s not as if we’re asking for much - I remember against Nuneaton at home in 17/18, when the 18 yard box in front of the tin shed wasn’t even marked out until around 10 minutes before KO. Those markings put in on the pitch near the dug...

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I’m not in the ‘you can’t say anything negative’ camp, but from watching the game yesterday I’m struggling to see how anyone could say they weren’t impressed with Bell? That was my biggest issue, which is why I posted.
