Re: Saturdays flare incident
Some of the supposed fans who turned up and caused trouble on Saturday were not even proper Darlington fans. I remember having a conversation with one of these supposed fans who was off his face on something, asking me, 'How are we doing in the league this year and how many points are we off playoff...

Re: What's the point of fan ownership?
What is the point of fan ownership? That's not a rhetorical question, and I don't raise it in the pejorative sense, but how many Darlo fans would be able to give a succinct and compelling answer to that question when challenged? Perhaps you'd give me a brief history lesson on the succession of disa...

Re: Curzon V Darlington
What a game Matty Young had by the way. Dealt with most balls that came into box, made an excellent save first half and looks so composed considering he is only 17! Hopefully we can extend his loan till the end of the season as we are potentially looking at another England international goalkeeper i...

Correct me if I am wrong but aren’t Hereford and Boston under ownership, both similar to us ex EFL teams who have been stagnating in the NLN like us for years.

Re: Darlington v Alfreton 10/02/24
Bottom line is, as we know, that actually none of our forwards are stand out at this level no matter what pairing we try. However, Kane and Haaland together wouldn’t score for us either because the creativity, through balls, crosses, quick one two,s on edge of area just don’t happen from our curren...

I don’t think this would be an issue if we weren’t sat in the relegation zone. Escape goat mentality.

Re: Darlington v Hereford
Honestly thought 4 weeks into the job and £30k in hand that Watson would have strengthened forward areas by now. Even Cornish looks like he hasn’t played since Oct.! Think JG would have got a load of grief by now in same situation! Anyway, given we haven’t I would try something completely different...

Heard a few rumours that he might be coming. Reliable? Nothing at all so far? Quite reliable and then darlo retro posted a picture of him so only fuelled the rumour Darlo Retro is Stoddart. He’s made a mistake before when he announced Aaron Martin was being announced when it was BS  Although P...

60% of the possession but zilch threat in front of goal, nuff said really. and yet Redcar Athletic, yes, Redcar Athletic!!, sign Boyes who has scored about 100 goals for Marske and experience at our level. Great game today so many positives. I’ve been critical of Nelson, Asante and Curry but all played well in their own right today. Hopefully they can continue this going forward. DTID.

Both the manager and assistant manager on paper appear to be excellent additions, boasting a wealth of experience between them. Now, the onus is on the players to perform. The level of positivity that has been generated within the fan base is evident, and the new narrative will focus on supporting t...

Re: Good luck Steve Watson
We're in a terrible position, and it's a combination of factors in my opinon. It's not all Gowling's fault- we were bottom of the table when he came in and the likes of Hazel and Felix were key components of the team who went from top to bottom of the table, so they (and the other players) have to ...

Re: Who next?
Probably right. The time to have got him was in September when we had a clear run at it before JG rocked up from Grimsby with his data charts and head full of nonsense. Yep if Fenton is on our radar he will also now be on Spendy's radar as well. Possibly even Shield's radar again. Same with Watson ...

Re: Who next?
MG is saying all the right things but probably the best route would have been talking to the board behind the scenes. Doing it publicly like this does have the look of backing the board into a corner. Things could be very complicated if others have already been spoken to about the job. His offer do...

Re: Who next?
Hiring Gray represents a precarious choice. If we face relegation, it could worsen the division among fans, especially since opinions about him are already divided. On the flip side, if he successfully maintains our NLN status, many might overlook the previous Raj incident, leading to praise for the...

I also don’t understand how Nelson still gets into the squad. Doesn’t really offer anything, doesn’t like driving with the ball and looks to lump every opportunity he gets.
