Re: Raj Singh

The part of the interview that struck me the most, wasn’t the parts about how Pools were struggling financially, how he couldn't find investors etc etc. It was his talk about the care-homes when asked about how his other business was in these difficult times. Interviewer: "One of your other lines o...

Re: Club Statement

I contacted DFCSG earlier in the day and they are currently taking stock of matters and waiting to find out what is been done at club level. That’s fair enough I suppose, but I do hope thinks aren’t allowed to go unchallenged for our side.

Re: Spennymoor Away

All future fixtures at Spennymoor should be boycotted by Darlington supporters in light of yesterday’s events. Greed above safety ... or more importantly OUR safety. Unfortunately I don’t think Darlington fans would do this.

Re: Darlington V Spennymoor

Being in hospitality today, I was able to witness Hatfield getting his MOTM award. Then Thommo came in & I was able to grab a couple of words with him. I told him that I spoke to Alan Walsh after the match when he scored his 100th goal & I was proud to congratulate him on equalling Walshy's record....

Re: Sold out?

It’s clear as day. The lad follows Darlo home and away, there’s not a chance he would sell his tickets. He and like every other fan has been waiting for a game like this since 2012. Mental how everyone jumped on his back. Anyways, hope we can all enjoy the game. Whether we are in the ground or not ...

Re: Gateshead game...

Too early to be calling players out just yet. Draw was a fair result. “Penalty” that wasn’t was outside the box anyway from where I was, although I still think it was a foul. Another example of poor officiating, although it’s week in week out so I may be blinded by all things Darlo. Gateshead very s...

Re: Farsley V Darlington Match Thread

Elliott was poor, he didn't look like he could dominate his box. Thought the defence apart from Trotman looking really creaky. The pitch was the real winner, at least we won the second half. The sooner Heaton comes in the better. One thing that struck me in the first half, was how much taller the F...

Re: Darlington V Southport match thread

Attendance It’s a strange one with how the club drum up further support at Blackwell Meadows. I think the current price structure is very responsible. Compared to Blyth last week it’s £2 more but we extend discounts by giving OAP discount to over 60s rather than 65 and allowing free entry to 11 & u...

Re: REECE STYCHE TRANSFERRED TO ALFRETON CONFIRMED

I've heard that Alfreton paid 60k for Reece. Tops what we paid last season & also takes a hefty wage off the wage bill. Reece's Tweet refers to HIM bringing in nearly £60,000 to the Club. Must admit when I read this I took this to include the Marathon Bet figure as well. Perhaps the fee was nearer ...

our best chance was probably Styche's chip into the keepers hands which about summed it up. Seen a few pops at Styche over this chance. Did anyone else see Lacazette, a striker that Arsenal paid £46.5m for, miss a chance yesterday virtually the same as Styches? Yes he's out of form but people reall...

Heard a few negative comments about the lad at the last couple of home games, but not really sure what he’s done wrong. Burns has got a back injury I think, but I don't know how long he was expected to be out. Given that I'd like to see Vaulks given a chance and Tez moved on to the left. However listening to Tommys interview after the opening game he certainly sees the situation as a bit of a problem and Vaulks name ...

I don’t dispute that sight lines are poor and there is still issues with the rugby club ... but win games, create a feel good factor, get people excited and all of a sudden people will want to be at Blackwell Meadows. Even if they have to stand on tip toes and and bring sandwiches.

This has been the case so often this season. It’s often been like watching 11 v 7.

I do think Joe Wheatley looked sharp and showed desire today so he deserves a mention.

It never happens when a club release a player and a club from a higher league takes him on. Curtis Main was very lucky, but I guess you make your own luck. You clearly have a gripe with the lad. The fact a higher and much bigger club took him on can only reflect well on the player and poorly on the...
