Re: TW - Learning His Trade

Harry, I agree with you, for this league Maddison is not one we can blame and I think deserves another chance. The fans got on jamersons back and his confidence went, him then making a lot of mistakes, he goes to Blyth and the few games I have seen him he has played well. We have some fans who forge...

Looking forward to this last game away, may even catch the train to take in a few extra pints.
Andy P, you need to go as chief cheerleader, don't want a quiet last away game, may even sing myself😁

Re: Next season

We need to be careful of what we wish for, while personally happy to go with whatever the board decide re management, we can't guarantee a new manager would be any better given the financial position we have. While the results and problems on field have depressed a fair few of our fans, we have stay...

Re: Sporting Village

From memory (which is not good to be honest), the offer was for land and floodlights to be provided, and I assume we would need to develop that over a few years therefore would potentially have to play at the arena for a few seasons while raising money? Clearly we have people in charge who are looki...

Re: Darlington V Stockport

He was not good, looked a little lost, would need a good bit more time on the training ground in my opinion. His family were there as well, and they left when he went off.

Re: Darlington V Stockport

I am with Shawry, I thought there player had fouled ours just before Trots pulled him back but it was a silly mistake by him after being booked for kicking the ball a short distance away to waste a bit of time (although even that booking seemed harsh when there player booted the ball away nearly the...

Re: Darlington V Stockport

Proud of the team today, everyone of them in my opinion played well and matched a team that could win the league, and were the better team in the first half. Set pieces being our downfall again. Battling performance and had a couple of good chances, and possible shout for hand ball in the first half...

Re: Darlington V Chester

One thing that I feel is an issue, whether it is TW or another manager for next season is that 2 hours training twice a week, (and sometimes once a week), clearly is not enough to build up team spirit and playing formation / system. Other teams seem to be closer and focused and supportive of each ot...

Re: Darlington V Chester

My first game for a few weeks and I thought we certainly matched Chester who are on the fringes of the play off's, and actually dominated the second half without looking really dangerous up front although there keeper pulled a few excellent reaction saves off. Thought we missed Elliott in midfield b...

Re: Jack Vaulks

Every time I saw Vaulx play I was quite impressed, even the last time in Durham cup against Esh Winning, thought he had some ability and bit of speed so assume it is something that is happening in training etc that either TW or AW did not like, (attitude?). May be that Vaulx contacted MG and said gi...

Re: Trotman England v Wales

Just watched the game, Trotman mentioned all the time and commentators feel he could be one to get picked up cheaply by a bigger club. The lad did himself no harm at all, and picked out as possible man of the match. Well done Luke.

That is what I meant, it may not be down to the keeper, Turner or Madison but the protection they have, both have clearly made some good saves.

Re: Hereford v Darlington Match Thread

I have missed the last 3 games and the next game I can get to is Stockport away, looks like I may be missing games at the right time :D Watching the highlights looks like we created plenty of chances, scored a couple of excellent goals and as usual gave away sloppy goals. It is funny how many times ...

Re: Telford V Darlington

Some fans have made it clear that they want rid of TW, (in fact I would say wanted him out before he was in charge of the first game ;) ). I have yet to see a viable alternative put forward in what is a very competitive league. MG was a successful manager for us but this league caught him out and it...

Can't disagree with anything said in those comments above and will be certainly maintaining mine. After a moderate season I hope we can at least maintain the membership of the DFCSG too. As for TW and AW as with others I can get frustrated, (I think I must think I am a football manager and know what...

Re: Darlington V Southport match thread

I didn't think it was that bad a game,(although certainly not a classic), against a big strong and physical team that came to bully our players, (they were not a dirty team but a lot of shirt pulling and muscling players off the ball etc that the ref did nothing about) . In fact thought that we were...

Re: Blyth V Darlington match thread

I thought that the penalty was soft, but having watched the highlights in slow motion, their player appears to push Nicholson with his elbow, (he went down easy, but does look like a push to me), when there was no need and gave the referee a decision to make, where as Nicholson would have not got th...

Onewayup - clearly from the more enlightened of our posters you and I are loons and should not be let out

Still whatever is picked I will buy the shirt whatever the choice, which I am sure all those having there say will do. Anything that will help the club.
