Re: Smith and Toman
I know Andy Toman, he did my UEFA B Badge and Level 2 Badge a few years back when he was in charge of Middlesbrough College Academy. I’m sure he is in Norway now though. If he is prepared to come back then let’s give them in until the end of the season and see what happens.

Re: Another one says no?
I did a post last week saying David McGurk was in the running but the post got ignore haha. I got told he got interviewed but I don’t know it’s thats the case.
I do know Tommy Wright wanted the job but I don’t know anything else. I’m sure he never got interviewed though.

Re: Wright staying put
An approach was made to the Chairman at 8.00pm on 16/10/2017 asking for permission to speak to Tommy about the vacant Managers position.
I’m confused, was he not one of the 7 interviewed? If not what with them?

Re: New manager poll
In the programme notes for the match he declared Darlington as his “second home”, adding: “It is a place that will always have a special place in my heart.”
Tommy Wright.

Re: New manager poll
Tommy Wright wants the job, loves the area, he still comes here, he was up here in August and still has links here. I want someone who wants the job, not someone who applied and now can’t agree on a deal. There has been loads of appointments by football clubs over the years in this country where the...

Re: It will not be Armstrong
According to in Stoddart's tweet 'Talks reached a stalemate yesterday' So the 7 people interviewed, were they already managing clubs? If they were the clubs must of knew and must have a compo fee in place which we must of been aware with or Are we failing on the personal agreement with the new manag...

Re: Nuneaton Town v Darlington Match Thread
Agree with a few posters above, a lot of players not good enough at this level. Leon Scott has been brilliant for us being with us since day 1 in the Northern League, always been one of my favourite players but maybe this level is too much for him. Maybe his good lifestyle is affecting him. I would ...

Re: New manager poll
Tommy Wright and his family love the area. They still have links here. They are always up here, mainly in Middlesbrough. He was at Middlesbrough Sports Village in August. He has always looked at opportunities in the area. But it looks like it’s dragging on. Something isn’t right. Maybe we have had a...

Re: Nuneaton Town v Darlington Match Thread
Poor today. The sooner we get a Permanent Manager in the better, whether it’s the lads in charge now or a new bloke. We were all over the place. Nuneaton are not a good side either.
P.S I couldn’t see anyone of Note in the crowd haha.

Re: New manager poll
Like the post above said, if Hardy and Hignett aren’t in the running, surely it maybe Mills who is the favourite now?
I’ll be keeping a close eye around Nuneaton ground this afternoon to see if there is anyone of Note.

Re: New manager poll
I got to know Tommy when he was here at Darlo. Top bloke. His other half worked with my wife in Stockton. They loved the area, they still come back and I was with him at Middlesbrough Sports Village a few months back. I’m pretty sure he applied and would be a class appointment. Young, ambitious lad ...

Re: New manager poll
No Gray got it right the last 5 years, who knows what would of happened if we were allowed to play in football he play offs, even Gary Neville wanted us in the playoffs, I’m so grateful to him but it was clear he couldn’t kick on anymore and took the club as far as he could. Regarding the next man, ...

Re: New manager poll
If Hardy has said he is happy at Whitby then that’s fine. But like it has been said in a number of posts above, he is ambitious manager and wants to progress in management, it would be surprising if he hasn’t at least spoken to someone about it. At this level, in this area the Darlo job is the best ...

Re: New manager poll
From what I know of him, he is very ambitious and what’s go as high as he can in football. He definitely would of gone for it. If your in and around this level, the area and ambitious you go for this job. To good of a opportunity to turn down. On a side note, I do hope we get to see who they intervi...

Re: Mark Beck
I hope all this gets sorted out. One hand we could do with the little cash that could our way and when Beck is sorted passes a medical. It could be one of them where the new gaffer doesn’t fancy him and we play a different type of football, he could stuck on the bench and sees out the contract and l...

Re: New manager poll
Just imagine if Jason Ainsley applied. I would think he may of thought about it or has he got it easy at Spennymoor. I don’t know the people doing the interviews but I wonder if they might think get Mills in and turn the tables on Gray and get one over him. I’m pretty Mills would have the bit betwee...
