Re: JOE LEESLEY
Out of interest, how many do you think having a proper ground would add to our attendance ? None. I don't actually believe that is the case. BM is renowned for having the worst away facilities in the league. It's open, it's exposed, there's no vantage points and there are only a few toilets and a w...

Re: Kidderminster V Darlington
Great couple of results for us, I think if AA is positive as he has been the last few games then we could be in for a very good season. He has established a very good squad but it does seem Beck needs a partner to work with and that means one less in midfield which he will just have to put faith in...

Re: So Faverdale or Skerningham
Wasn’t the Faverdale site originally earmarked for Mowden Park Rugby before they moved to the Arena ?
Ideal site that would accommodate everything that DJ required ie
Room for a 3G pitch , fast food outlets etc , plenty of opportunity to generate off the pitch income…

Re: Hereford V Darlington
Wasn’t there but from the sounds of it we were good value for the point and had our opportunities to take all three, not least the missed penalty. Very much a long shot to make the play-offs from here. Even AA himself is talking more about being excited for next season rather than this one. Does fe...

Re: Hereford V Darlington
We should have won the game, the subs made a difference. As above Thompson looks quality, Cassidy annoys defenders so much and so gives others space to operate, would always be in my team. I got home to Mancland at 10.30am after leaving my house at 9am, the Darlo lads I travelled with on the train ...

Re: Blackwell Meadows Signage
Ever since the game at Walsall DJ has stated that the club needs additional revenue apart from gate receipts and that revenue from catering, functions and other off field means are the way to progress . This is never going to happen at BM . Darlington FC needs its own ground and full control to gene...

Re: Pre-season friendlies
I was going to go to Stourbridge v Hereford last night . Online tickets only but they had sold out . 300 maximum crowd allowed . Not sure if Hereford had an allocation but there’s never been segregation before.

Re: Ground share
 Hopefully this time round we’ll be given the opportunity to sit at the warm side of the arena (the side where the seats were fading). I always wondered what it would be like to sit in that stadium and experience a temperature above 5 degrees. Fingers crossed this gets the green light, as p...

Re: Ground share
There’s no denying that the stadium is far too large for purpose . Amusingly, if the purpose is to watch sport in a "safe and socially distanced manner" - then it is "fit for purpose" That’s not the point I was making . The stadium was far too large for purpose when it was built and still is too la...

Re: Ground share
Is there any logical reason that some people hate the Arena . Obviously there were bad times there due to unscrupulous characters who had no interest in the Football Club . The Arena in itself was not and is not the problem . The place is not jinxed or haunted . To state that you would never go the...

Re: Ground share
I think that DMP and any other parties should consider keeping the main stand which incorporates all the facilities ie Bars , boxes , changing etc and modify the other 3 sides to achieve a manageable stadium with a reduced capacity that would still generate non match day income .. What does that st...

Does not the prospect of working with the council to develop Eastbourne and potentially building a stadium there seem to be the option .
There’s already facilities and different clubs located there .
It seems logical to locate DFC there too .

Would a scaffold tower with cabin not be feasible on that side of the ground to accommodate the Darlo media crew . Get them off the balcony and provide better facilities .
