Re: Harrogate
I think we’re 1 or 2 players away from having a pretty decent squad here, hopefully holness sign on and I was impressed by that Donawa and also Bascombe but would like to see more of them before making any proper judgements Would like to see another striker sign too as we’ve only really got Campbell...

Re: Transfer Rumours
I reckon Hopson will happen personally, maybe a couple of the Gateshead lads too (Olley & Tinkler) if they don’t get offers of FT football. As for a striker I’ve got no clue who we could go for

More signings pls xoxo
We’ve made a very good start to the window bringing in Liddle, Laing, Rivers, Atkinson and Holmes, but was just wondering if anyone had heard about any other potential signings, I know after the fans forum that Big Al seems quietly confident on Maguire and Jameson Which would be belters of signings ...

Re: Signings
So Laing, Rivers and Atkinson seem to be done.
We need at least 2 strikers, a winger, A GK, a CM and possibly another defender too
Who would we like then folks?

Re: Signings
I’m probably getting a bit carried away but with speculation from those who appear ‘in the know’ we could have a side similar to this - Hemming Trotman Laing Galbraith Liddle Atkinson Wheatley Rivers Nicholson Thompson Maguire(maybe dreaming on that one) Looks decent enough to me - although perhaps...

Re: Signings
How about some of the Gateshead players? White, Tinkler, Olley or Rigg would surely be good shouts. Boyes I would highly doubt from Spennymoor, but he’s local. Maguire would be outstanding but I reckon he’s off to Shields. Totally forgot about the Gateshead lads! Would be delighted with any of thos...

Re: Signings
So Laing, Rivers and Atkinson are pretty much sealed deals for us then, with Michael Liddle close as well. Really happy with Rivers and Atkinson. Laing was poor for Hartlepool looking at what their fans have said about him but was reasonably decent for Blyth I believe... so I’m willing to give him a...

Re: Signings
Fair enough regarding Maguire, just hope that the BTB and maybe a chat with big Al could MAYBE sway him (I know I’m clutching at straws here but let me dream folks).
Wonder if Luke Armstrong could be a potential player to have on loan?

Re: Signings
Maguire, Buddle, Rivers, Jameson I think will be definite targets, would like us to go for Willoughby from FC United, maybe tempt couple of lads from South Shields like Briggs and Foley for example too I think Rivers, Jameson and potentially Buddle are realistic targets but we'd struggle to finance...

Re: Player of the season
Nicholson for me personally, our top scorer, probably got the most assists too, I believe he’s someone who we can get a lot of money for in the future if we build a team around him.

Re: New Manager Poll
With all names listed so far the ones I would like most are: Ben Clark- Did a good job with Gateshead especially under those circumstances and got the team to show a real togetherness, which I think was something that was missing from TW’s reign. I imagine that he could come to us too considering Ga...

Long shot could be Matt Jansen former Chorley Manager. I think he’s with Blackburn’s academy at the Moment but it could be worth at least enquiring. Others have mentioned Neil Aspin too...

Nicholson against BPA for me, gets the ball on the halfway line and goest 20-25 yards with it and then just curls it in top bins.

Re: Favourite game + season grading
Favourite Game was Kidderminster at Home, Many thought without Nelson that we would struggle but I felt like that was our most complete performance of the whole season. York at home obviously was a brilliant game too. Season grade for me is an E, we are consistently inconsistent with the good perfor...

Re: Alun Armstrong on his way out of Blyth?
If we do say goodbye to TW then regarding things on the pitch we should be at least enquiring about his services, also with the likes of Maguire and Jameson out of contract maybe he could tempt them to come along too (imagine a front 3 of Thompson, Maguire and Nicholson). Off the pitch he does seem ...

Re: Tommy Wright: 19/20 Season. Yay or Nay
I wouldn’t touch Armstrong with a barge pole. Last thing we need is a manager who whinges about budgets. Surely Blyths budget for this season was less than ours in the first place? So assuming they cut their budget next season like us we’ll still have more than them. Also if it was him there would ...

Re: Tommy Wright: 19/20 Season. Yay or Nay
For me it’s time for him to go, he’s shown now that over his reign that he is at best a lower mid table manager with us and just in this division regardless, his summer recruitment was poor (apart from Nicholson and Elliott) which in all honesty surprised me as before then he pretty much got them al...

Possible managerial candidates
I think most of us are in the same boat of that TW needs to go so I thought I would put this thread on for people to put forward names of who they would like as a replacement. Names I’ve thought of include: John Flanagan- Done a great job at Curzon on a lot less than what we've got and plays a nice ...

Re: Darlington V Altrincham Match thread
It will be interesting to see the line up that TW decides on for Saturdays game. Probably a reshuffle in the back 4 and definitely one in the midfield. I think we should still go for 4 4 2, Hughes needs a run of games, this is his chance. Maddison, Trotman Burn Galbraith O'Hanlon, Thompson Hughes E...
