Re: Playing budget

Chances of a cup run will be significantly increased if the rumours of scrapping all qualifying before Q4 turn out to be true.

I’m guessing but I’d say one third is based on a target of £100k

Re: New deal for,Donawa, Hatfield , Rivers, Holmes, Hedley,Reid, Storey, Campbell, Laing, Wheatley, Liddle

I think the dilemma for York is that they are already losing a load of money (£900k per year apparently) that McGill covers out of his own pocket. Well, until Bootham Crescent gets sold then he gets it back. Offsets Yorks losses against his packaging co profits saving a fortune in tax. Will he pay ...

19/20 Season Ticket Refunds

Has the club considered offering supporters a refund on the 19/20 season tickets?

We could then gift the club the money back saving the club 20% VAT. The danger is of course that not enough fans gift back the money to cover the refunds.

Just a thought.

Re: New deal for, Donawa , Hatfield, Rivers, Holmes Hedley

Last season’s players we’re still waiting on: Laing, Storey, Galbraith, Watson, Liddle, Holness, Atkinson, Campbell, Reid, Wheatley. Could also include Lucas Bell, although he played very little part for the first team. If the bulk of those first 10 senior players sign, we probably only need two or...

Re: Thommo

Spenny's approach to building a team is like when you used to play football manager games on the Spectrum, break the programming and then cheat by rewriting certain lines which give you pots of money, then go and buy a huge squad just because you can. You have to be a certain age to appreciate the ...

Re: Potential new signings

Speaking of Stockton, Kevin Hayes could be someone to look at, meant to be very highly rated apparently I watch Stockton a fair bit and they’re an impressive outfit. Kev is a former Boro junior and a very good player. Typical pacy winger with plenty of tricks and likes to cut inside and shoot. Scor...

Re: Big decision for Chester fans to make.

AS DJ mentioned in his recent interview there needs to be a cap or budget limit at our level, buying your way out of the league is short term and not what the NL & FA should be promoting. They need to grip the bull by the horns and take positive action. Unfortunately we know it is not going to happ...

Hopefully a wealthy American might notice that and give us a nice donation like this film producer at Matlock town. So York are arguing that they should be promoted on the basis they have endeavoured to play more games than Kings Lynn?

Re: Season VOIDED

I see on Look North the chairman of South Shields was saying that they would take legal action against the National league on them being denied promotion & that if they don't get promoted it would cost them between £400K & £500k. Why would they take action against the NL? It's the FA they would nee...

Re: National League advises ending the season

Think back in the day the old 1st and 2nd Division had 22 teams each and the 3rd and 4th Divisions had 24 teams each. Think the votes were allocated one to each team in the top two divisions and 8 in total between the other two divisions making 52 in total. So not what Ed said then [emoji848] Sent ...

Re: National League advises ending the season

Getting a chance to read through the detail of the NL proposal it's plain NL chairmen want to know what the basis of ending the season is before voting. But I guess the NL are fearful that if an unpopular option on how to end the season wins by a small.majority, that when a black or white vote occu...

After 30+ games the league table does not lie and is as good an indication of teams ability as you could hope to have in these circumstances. If only a small number of games had been played it would be much less so. PPG would be the fairest way to decide things rather than voiding the season I beli...
