Re: Gateshead - ineligible for playoffs
I sincerely doubt the council are doing it for fun. Council budgets have been slashed to shreds since 2010. Particularly the ones that have been deemed to have voted incorrectly. They simply don’t have the money. This country is in an abysmal state and it ain’t local councils to blame. Wake up. Fee...

Re: Chester Away All ticket
The stadium is located on the Sealand Road Industrial Estate, and lies adjacent to the border between England and Wales which runs along the rear of the east stand (the main stand). But although the pitch is entirely within Flintshire, Wales, the stadium's car park, main entrance, some offices, and...

Re: View from the Board/DJ
Darlington Council have never been a supporter of DFC, they now have no money, however they do have land, so why not give us the land with conditions on the land ownership? As an example DBC apparently own land at Blackwell Meadows, so why not allow DFC to build a stadium alongside DRC, access from...

Re: Darlington V Southport
Seems there was a couple of blokes continually blocking the camera view on the highlights. I don’t recall this being much of a problem in the past. We didn’t get to see Cornish take his corner for the goal as a consequence. Must have been a few up there yesterday.

Very nervous about today! My mind goes back to an end of season game when they were going for promotion. An early Kneeshaw goal saw us take the lead and a very good battling performance saw us keep it until they scored in the 89th minute. A repeat of that would be hard to take although anything wou...

In a way the same as us re loans, but ours from National league, not league teams, although we would definitely be worse without Barrow and Young, they have been quality. Just watched the goals, from where i was stood it was difficult to see how difficult they were to save, but I think Young would ...

Some TT fan boys on social media calling out fans for highlighting his mistakes. He’s been good for us in the past but not this season. Football is a harsh game sometimes.

Re: Darlington V Peterborough Sports
Next week reminds me of our game v Colchester in 89. Not win or bust, but certainly not lose. I say that because Bishops Stortford is one of their games in hand. 89 was roles reversed, as we were on an OK run, but Colchester was on a great run, and we crumbled under the pressure of the occasion. Wi...

Just read a really good summary and breakdown of the last set of accounts recently published. Half understand it now and was very informative. Not a moan, honest. Just genuinely do not understand which roles makes up this figure of £185k on “ Management Staff wages” . Seems like a massive figure fo...

Fred was an amazing keeper. It’s a toss up between him and mark Prudhoe as the best I’ve ever seen in a Darlo shirt.andydarlo wrote:Fred Barber

Are the Women’s Team and the Academy one and the same? They are the same line in the accounts. I do think people misinterpret the intent of the Academy. It would actually surprise me if it ever produces, or even intends to produce, players for the first team. Academies outside of the professional c...

That was a real cannon-fire of a shot by Nelson to earn the Victory... sorry but it had to be done :D. Pleased that he made amends for Tuesday's misses and played such a key role in a crucial win. It clearly meant a lot to him. Maybe just the confidence booster he needed. We stuck at it despite the...

Re: More local competition for good players now at Blyth
Just read about the takeover at Blyth and how they are already planning for new players next season. Totally get that it does not guarantee success but my god it helps. So that’s basically every other decent non league club in the N East probably able to offer much better deals than we can. We will...

Re: Blood on hands/heads must roll
Never. We never played well under Gowling. Every game was tedious negative plodding dogshit and I hate him for it. Under Watson, although results haven't really improved, we *are* playing better football, creating more chances (though not putting them away) and mostly seem to have a plan. I’m strug...

Who’s contracted for next season?
Bar those, I’d probably only want to keep Hatfield if he’s not in the above.

Moke gone
Not surprised. Not Watson type player imo. we started losing a lot of goals when Beck left and it was because Moke and Purver just couldn’t get a grip on games.

Re: Blood on hands/heads must roll
If we go down and it’s looking very likely now than any talk about a new stadium is nonsense, Blackwell will be quite adequate with lower crowds and far less away fans and reduced commercial revenue. We have a decent budget and going down probably one of the best budgets will see us favourites for ...
