Re: Sports village

The talk of building a new stadium next to the arena was never going to happen. Before Covid I would have said get back to the Arena ASAP, and possibly on today’s news we could still negotiate a great deal. If not it’s probably a case of the club just surviving not going for promotion and staying un...

Re: David Johnston's Netcafe

I’m glad we have DJ in charge BTBH nothing really new came out on Friday. Reading between the lines Craig did very well selling the board space which has increased rapidly but compared to previous years when we secured Virgin & Ebac he didn’t have any big ticket to sell as we don’t own our own crowd...

Re: Farewell Tez

I’ve said before managers like to get their own players in and normally let players under an own regime go at some point - Gray, Wright no different. We are living under a new player budget hopefully DJ in his forthcoming netcafe can actually let us know what it is as a fan owned club we should be a...

Re: Playing budget

Martin Gray used to say that 3-400k was the sort of budget you needed to form a challenge. I bet AA could do it with 250k🤞 Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk There will be a lot of caution about the budget from both boards I’d imagine as who knows when football is back and whether another spike w...

Amount of investors have been superb, unfortunately I suspect I may lose my job once coming off furlough so just have to wait whether I can contribute this year.

Re: Luke Trotman on his way

He was a TW signing it’s obvious Alun wants his own players in which I totally get . I have to say when I’ve been in hospitality Luke always had time for people and would spend time chatting to fans, which this last season neither players or management team tend to spend much time in hospitality whi...

Re: Potential new signings

I don't have a lot of interest in new signings currently, once we know any timelines and what's possible I might. At the minute, we don't know our budget, we don't know when football will start, players don't know what to do. Some players will be happy with signing a contract with us but we don't k...

I’m going to wait to see whether I have a job come June/July on whether I contribute this season also with everything up in the air going to also wait to see what management and playing staff we have in place for the new season. Just surviving next season might be the main goal.

Re: Coronavirus and DFC

If the club are proactive they should put all PAYE staff as furloughed staff as at least 80% of PAYE costs will be covered. I don’t think they will be able to apply for CBIL due to the previous accounts and the fact the banks are looking for security, as we don’t have any. Most players finish up bei...

Re: The moment we've all been waiting for...

I think the EU will be mortally damaged by current events & our country will be in a far better position to take control of our future. Just remind me Pete, which country is leading on the development of a vaccine for COVID-19? CANADA - not bothered who claims the first effective virus but we need ...

Well after this evening’s news we can throw the entire 20/21 season in the bin, it isn’t happening barring a miracle. Best get those vaccines on the go as this is our only way out of this now. Have to agree Divas before a vaccine I can only see businesses going bust people going bankrupt, houses re...

Re: Coronavirus and DFC

As a club are we in a better position than others? Limited paid non playing staff? No stock that has been bought that can go off- ie beer etc. 47 week players contracts. Rent a ground so not liable for ongoing bills like water gas and rates? We could almost mothball the club for a time. Will be toug...

Re: Coronavirus and DFC

I think today will be the last game in along time. As we are run by volunteers at least we don’t have a large non playing wage bill particularly with Craig Morley now left. If the players and football management were to take a reduction or deferred payment we can get through this. HMRC are notoriou...

I believe these 2 points aren't helped by the facilities available to us at BM though, No, but the point is we had more takers last season without dedicated resource on it. So we know we at least have that latent demand to tap into and we are not even appealing to them . The fact of the matter prod...

Re: AGM

Although I was accused by a couple of posters on here when I suggested the playing budget for next year will be greatly reduced I’m still of the belief it will be as the DFCSG board want to get to a break even point which the club haven’t done since 2012. If it hadn’t been for the cup run money then...

I do agree that an update in regards to the AGM should be output via DFC and probably also DFCSG although a joint output would be expected. I am sure the club really want support on Season Ticket Sales, Boost the Budget and many other things. Just because someone doesn't own shares in the club itse...

Agreed up to a point, however thought club was to make a statement about SV at Xmas. No problem with NDA's etc & why FD+CM left but more important that we get someone in to replace 2 key roles at the club. Fans could be reassured if a person at Board level made a communication on the club website. ...
