Justin Donowa

I haven't had the opportunity to watch us live this season, but is fair to say we might have unearthed a bit of a gem in Donowa? At the start of the season he was on the fringes but seems to be firmly in AA's plans now. At only 23 Im sure a L2/National league side would be happy to take a punt on hi...

Re: FA CUP FIRST ROUND

If isn’t Sunderland away or a home tie, then definitely Ipswich away. Would be a decent attendance and be great for AA to go back to Portman Road.
Will probably end up with bloody Sturbridge or Torquay away..!

Re: Josh Heaton

I would make a guess there has been a falling out behind the scenes. Im led to believe Heaton's attitude has been called in to question previously. Shame as obviously the lad is talented. Still has plenty of time on his side to carve out a career in the game.

Re: Trotman out for the season

Dreadful news. In terms of how we line up now though could Liddle play RB? Move Terry to LB and Heaton in centre??

Wishing Luke all the best with his recovery. Suffered a broken leg three years or so ago, another major injury now and he’s only 22

I presume "if anything happens to Elliot" suggests he means Turner as first choice?
That would be correct! Should injury or suspension strike with Elliott, he could be an option to bring in.

Signs for Newcastle United. Very promising keeper who impressed last season. Perhaps an option to bring back on loan should anything happen to Elliot.

Re: Josh Heaton

You never know Armstrong might have found a club to take Burn on loan and cover some of his wages. There was talk of Whitby being interested a week or two ago. Surprised Heaton is on trial , would be quite a coup if we could get him back.

If it does turn out to be Armstrong, perhaps he could bring in his son Luke on loan. Seems to have done well at Gateshead. Dan Maguire would be good too....

Unfortunately things don't seem to be working out for him up in Scotland. He hasn't even been named on the team sheet in the last 5 games and he's only made 2 appearances this season in the cup back in July. It's a real shame as he was excellent for us! I could be wrong but I think he's been injure...

Re: Darlington V Altrincham

It will be interesting to see the line up that TW decides on for Saturdays game. Probably a reshuffle in the back 4 and definitely one in the midfield. I think we should still go for 4 4 2, Hughes needs a run of games, this is his chance. Maddison, Trotman Burn Galbraith O'Hanlon, Thompson Hughes E...

As far as I know all of our players have a main full time job outside of Darlo. I just cant fathom Gilles earning 30K a year! As far as I am aware Gillies, Caton, Beck & Ferguson categorise(d) themselves as professional footballers and I don’t recall them being reported as having other jobs? If the...

Gutted to see PT leave. He helps make us tick. As another poster has said if he has no bad luck with injury he should comfortably play into his mid thirties. Not a local club but Sam Russell released by Forest Green. If he was coming back up north I’d like to think we’d be interested. Former team mate of Wright and White.

Ex-Darlo player left Portsmouth in January to make the move north to Motherwell. Re: Gainsborough v Darlington Match Thread

Let’s be honest Wright wouldn’t have been in many fans top ten choices. I hope he can turn it round but the signs aren’t great at the moment. Never mind play offs, if you offered me a fourth bottom finish I’d snap your hand off!
