Re: The Northern Echo

The heart breaking thing about these job losses is that they all have a knock on effect. whether you love or loathe the northern echo it is nice to have a local newspaper to be able to report on your club. Although I preferred it back in the days before social media when we had the pink despatch and...

Re: Who will follow Wigan Athletic into administration?

Absolutely bloody scandalous Pete and another pointer into why more and more clubs should follow our lead and become fan owned. At least under our system every pound is accounted for and it stops chancers like these asset stropping football clubs. Wigan athletic are going to be very lucky to survive...

Re: Who will follow Wigan Athletic into administration?

I reckon Hartlepool won't be too far from being in the mire. Macclesfield town probably a certainty to fall by the wayside. In our league I'll be surprised to see the likes of Alfreton town to continue if we can't get going again soon with their very small fan base.

Chester have announced that theirs has now beaten the £80'000 barrier. That's not a bar effort in all fairness.

Re: 19/20 Season Ticket Refunds

Just a thought would it cost the club very much to let the season ticket holders have a discounted shirt for next season - don't slate me - I said it's just a thought and I am referring to the fans who lost the four home games..

Re: Increasingly unlikely playoffs

Would be a bonus if Boston Utd went up through the play-offs as it is like King's Lynn, a helluva way to go for an away game. Equally, Brackley would not be a great loss, although quite a few Darlo exiles in the South do make it to that fixture. Thought Chester were against play-offs due to the cos...

I also genuinely spoke to a Hereford director last season who told me styche spent most of his time with them arguing with...

Match day programmes

I wonder if the situation stays the same clubs will be banned from selling them along with the likes of 50/50 tickets due to the risk of contamination. I know it sounds harsh but if the league do impose a ban this would be another couple of our vital revenue streams lost.

Re: The Team 20/21 season

Astra zenica are supposedly well on the way to developing a vaccine in Oxford university trials. Let's all keep our fingers crossed this is over the line by September and our nationals get their jabs before it's snapped up by the USA who have also poured billions in the hope of ridding us of this so...

Re: Leagues 1 and 2

Pete, by chance I went to what turned out to be the last ever game at Bootham Crescent. Hereford beat York in a most entertaining way. A game they (York) needed to win and expected to win. Home form has cost them here, or may have done if PPG thwarts them. Yes they only have themselves to blame if ...

When do people think the season will start? does anybody even think there will be a 20/21 season? Could be a 21 season... Clubs at our level aren’t viable without paying crowds. Goes right back to what I said right at the very start of this mess split our league in half regionalised and play half a...

When do people think the season will start? Failing that I think we might genuinely struggle to see ...

Re: Thommo

One thing I’ve never understood with certain Spenny fans is why they’re so keen to deny they’re bankrolled. I don’t get it. It’s actually more effective to just admit it, as it shuts down that line of attack much quicker. “We’re bankrolled, so what?” There’s not actually any issue with them living ...
