Re: Southport away postponed

Who was it who said right at the start of this ongoing tragedy split the league in two if my suggestion had been taken up we wouldn't have been trekking all the way down to brackley on a Tuesday night for a start.

Re: Brackley v Darlo

How we are allowed, or even expected to travel down to Brackley tomorrow and Weymouth in a couple of weeks during a National Lockdown is absolutely absurd. You have called it absolutely spot on Andy our players are being sent to the very parts of the country where the new variant is running rampant...

Re: Merry Christmas Quakers

The words football club and property developer should strike fear in the heart of every fan it's obvious the guy from Ilkeston is just trying to get his grubby hands on gigg lane let's hope the local council stops him in his tracks just as ours did with a certain Mr Houghton.

Forgotten New year day fixtures

As we enter a new year I was reminiscing about some festive fixtures in years gone by and an excellent fightback game in 1974 sprang to mind which never seems to get a mention in despatches Reading were the visitors to a chilly feethams smashing us in the first 45 minutes and leading through a Steve...

Re: Oxford university vaccine

Question is, will Quakers be halfway through their backlog of fixtures by April? The lads will be getting a taste of full-time soccer as we will be doing 3 games a week at this rate. Now getting worried about FA Trophy final getting squeezed in ahead of the Euros. Mind, now we have done Brexit and ...

Oxford university vaccine

I said a few months back I was hopeful of this succeeding and today it's been approved now come on Boris and co start sticking needles in us 24/7 and let's get back to normal and watching our beloved football team inside the ground again. (Spen the scientists proved you wrong thankfully).

Re: Jason Ainsley

So just to sum up, their average paying attendance is 903, heavily bolstered by big away followings from Darlington and York and despite Polarbear's denial it's there in print that Brad has put a "seven figure sum" into the club? Does polar bear actually go to Spennymoor matches or does he still sp...

Not only could they employ Martin gray they could also allow Raj Singh to work alongside Bradley groves also when he reins his investment in in Hartlepool shortly.

Re: Ex Darlo players -unsporting behaviour?

We've certainly been on the receiving end of some shockers ourselves does anybody remember Darren Moore snapping Gary himsworths leg at Torquay. Also Gary brabin with one of the worst tackles I've ever seen at feethams on Mark kilty Vs Hull city which damaged Kiltys cruciate and effectively ended his...

I'm not so sure. The away end in pouring rain at Springfield Park, the stormy day at Chorley and Port Vale in the Autowindscreens come to mind! Not forgetting the Don valley stadium in Sheffield which Rotherham United shared for a while I'm sure I spotted a couple of polar bears on the roundabout o...

I have to laugh at comments that England targeted him Peter Reid was so fat and slow he couldn't catch him trailing him all the way back from the half way line..As for Argentinian legends the player I always admired rarely gets mentioned Mario kempes.

Re: FA Cup TV Details

I'm still annoyed brackley town have been chosen ahead of us as tomorrow's live match even though I have been criticized by certain people. They get rewarded for knocking a team out at the same level whilst playing a league two club and we have to play second fiddle to them having knocked out a club...

Lots of people are drumming up an inept last home performance of last season against farsley Celtic. short memories that was due to a goalkeeper having an absolute stinker. Also true to form we won our last away game of last season absolutely outclassing Telford on their own patch.

Even without fans at BM, I reckon - if we play at Alf-reton the way we played last night - that elusive home win's going to be closer each day. As I've said on another thread though how will the alfreton players respond on throwing that three goal lead away. they're probably in a similar position t...

As much has I would like to see fans return it is quite clearly stated areas with low transmission. I also sadly can't see the government sanctioning fans traveling ...

maybe it is going to be one of those strange seasons circa 1995-96 where we're better on the road than in our own backyard lack of home support could be hampering a few teams. Huge money for the club but not as much as it would be if crowds were allowed in obviously, as we would be pocketing this money plus half of the crowd. Bristol is a cracking weekend too  Honestly feel we are a far more compelling tie than Tranmere - Brackley as well, so a little bit aggrieved ...

TNS had a match abandoned at 2-2 after 87 minutes because of floodlight failure a few weeks ago, amd had to replay the whole thing, so it's not impossible that it could be rerun.
This is a strange one though aren't they under the jurisdiction of a different league/football association.?

That referee I believe was Adam Williamson he is a jinx to our club I'm certain he refereed our game at home to Gateshead last season when Luke trotman got his season ending injury. he made some very strange decisions that night too.

For the integrity of the game and fair play the common sense decision must be allow the result to stand and award a 2 0 win to Boston. I'm pretty certain Alun Armstrong won't want our fixture backlog to become any worse than it is anyway. Absolutely delighted that Noel hunt looks like he is going t...
