Re: much improved

A cheaper way to improve things may be to look to add a pedestrian footpath to the main road which would allow the traffic to leave straight away.

Option 2 for me. 3 and 4 are truly dreadful. Why we couldn't have a traditional hooped shirt like the 'orange' sponsored shirt is beyond me.

The company I work for supplied the sanitary fittings (wc's, urinals basins etc) last week. The sub contract installer is on site and there should be no issues on that side of the build.

Re: 3G .... A way forward?

Just a matter of time. Many clubs in Scotland have already installed them to universal acclaim. When I think back to the state of some pitches we have played on recently (Ossett Albion last season) it really makes sense. Imagine Mitchell, Thompson etc on a decent surface every other week. Factor in ...

Got to agree. We take great numbers to games but are really quiet at times.
Would be great to see the younger members of our support creating a more vibrant atmosphere at games.

Very poor selection for me. Would love to see a simple hoop design like the 'Orange' sponsored strip. None of these options have anything to do with heritage.

Re: Artificial pitches

If we could find the finance it would be a no brainer. Stockton Town are about to begin work on their artificial pitch which has been part funded by various grants. When you look at some of the pitches we have played on recently I'm amazed anyone can argue against it (Osset Albion last season anyone...

Re: Fans Forum Writeup

I do think a 7-8 step terrace behind the goal should be a priority. In the depths of winter this will be the main place of refuge. Also the younger supporters need a place to enjoy the usual banter/atmosphere that us older fans so much enjoyed in the Tin Shed. These young supporters must be encourag...

What football rules and regulations? At present Feethams is a brown field wasteland. How any new build would contravene Football regulations is beyond me. The only way forward that I can see is a land swap with the council.

So when Spen Utd went bust and then took over Evenwood (killing them in the process) I assume all the United creditors were paid in full?

DMP have also asked for advice on the under soil heating from a local business in the town.

Bill Foggitt. Tyne Tees rolled him out every Autumn where he would predict a white christmas followed by a glorious summer. He was rarely correct. Despite much cynisism modern forcasting is the best it's ever been and the advent of quantum computers could progress forcasting into mind blowing accura...

Nice to see the Sunday Sun keeping up it's journalistic standards yesterday. The league table referred to us as Darlington 1993. That's a full 2 numbers out of 4 incorrect.

Re: If we change names

Totaly agree. The only possible name is Darlington 1883. This would be a permanent reminder of where we came from as we move forward. It also should be a reminder that we are now a fans club run for the benefit of the people of Darlington. As long as the 1200 die hards stay with this club we will ov...

1883 'brand'

I can't help feeling we have stumbled upon a great marketing opportunity with the whole '1883' concept. Other clubs have the suffixes such as 'City' or 'Albion' alongside the teams main name. I would love to see Darlo merchendise incorporating 1883 - in fact I would love to see it on the shirt. If w...

What steps have we taken to remove all framed photographs and other assorted memorabilia fron the Arena. We need to get them in storage as a matter of urgency. I am speaking as the person who has 50 pictures from the 'Farewell to Feethams' exhibition stored in his loft!

Spoke to Mick after the game. He was with Mark Prudhoe and Kevan Smith. He spoke about players in the Blue Square North and he would be interested in the job. I think he felt a bit let down by the owners at Blyth who would not back him when he had them challenging for the play offs. A decent bloke M...

We are now at year zero and the response by the fans has been overwhelming. Both Barrow and York fans showed amazing soli...

Don't give Sign a penney. He set this seasons budget and then pulled the plug half way through.
Look him in the eye and say enoughs enough. We can reform and make it a success. As long as we have 1300-1500 fans we will be a draw to players at whatever level we end up.
