Re: Marske United

What a mess and i hope that the club emerges intact....when i see some of the more bizarre comments on the likes of FB re DJ and the board i cringe....we are in a poor position results wise it must be said but all CEO/MD's/Owners make wrong decisions regarding team managers at all levels incl Man Ut...

Re: Southport

As an exile i can only echo the majority of the above comments re the game itself...a huge task ahead to avoid the drop! Barrow, Nelson and Moke the best on the night....we looked poorer when the substitutions were made imho. In terms of the ground (council owned i think) i thought it was much tidie...

Re: New Assistant Manager

Feeling hugely more optimistic re the send half of the season now....but still a huge job ahead of management team. The appointment of these two lads feels like a much more positive approach than the others being touted about so good luck to them both.

Re: Darlington V Bishops Stortford

As an exile listened to this on DFR...great coverage of what sounded like a truly awful Darlo performance....a huge task now to avoid relegation. Morale will be rock bottom...a few more games without return will surely trigger NPL planning......

Re: Danny's Farewell Interview

It was a measure of just what Danny meant to the players as when at Fylde last season Nelson came running up to Danny after scoring on his comeback....we were sat just behind the dugout. The emotion was clear to see on both parts.............

Re: Alun has been sacked

A real shame as i thought he was as genuine as they come...results have been very poor but i feel that there are still some very good players in the squad...hopefully a speedy appointment is made as the uncertainty will ramp up quickly if not.

Re: Armstrong not up to the task

As an exile i dont see too many games but after watching all the vids of play and interviews this season i would offer the following.....i understand the clamour for AA to go but personally i would like him to stay as think we cant afford to change at this point. My observation is that i would like ...

Nelson...watched him score his first comeback goal v Fylde.....quality player in terms of touch and movement and well worth persevering with imho.

Re: AFC Fylde v Darlington

As an exile i dont see too many games but i would offer the following..Lawlor when fit and in form is as good as anyone, Lambert is a clever player and offers much going forward, Dodds is a massive loss and i have seen Moke play much much better than on Saturday...believe we still have the ability i...

Re: Update from David Johnston

Generally a positive interview.....good to hear BM might be a stop gap if certain work undertaken and/or permissions granted in light of promotion being achieved. In terms of the new ground proposals i would agree that Fylde immediately stands out as a similar model - i only live a few miles away an...

Re: Chester v Darlo

As an exile i managed to get to this one. Excellent turnout from Darlo and i would have said circa 300 or so travelling and they made a decent noise for most of the game. Chester had their moments especially in the first half but the longer the game went on the better the Darlo defense seemed to be,...

Looks to be a quality addition to the squad....next few games will be interesting in terms of selection/formation...nice problem to have with the bulk of the season to come.

Re: Southport v Darlo

Agree with 50Years in all he said......huge gaps between defence and the front 3 at times....... Best i have seen Lambert play but wasted in the left of a diamond. A traditional 442 might be a sensible try with possibly Maddison to start on the right....he makes very good runs but like tonight he ne...

Re: Alfreton V Darlington

A view from an exile...a hard slightly bobbly pitch made it a game of mis-controlled touches and stray passes with it becoming at times a game of giant head tennis. Alfreton generally coped better with this by playing a somewhat direct game however when Darlo tried a passing game they looked good bu...

Re: It is no wonder this site is

As an exile of many years standing i find this site by far the best resource to keep in touch with whats going on...FB might be more of the instant type reactions but the more coherent debates are on here. I dont post very often at all but i regard it as a Darlo lifeline....obviously quiet at the mo...

Re: North West based Darlington fans

Rare post from myself - an exile based in Preston so probably not practical to share travel costs plus i wouldn't go to many games in Darlington unless its a biggie. Usually just watch the north west fixtures plus my adopted teams home fixtures @ Bamber Bridge. Happy to share a beer at the Darlo awa...
