Re: Darlo -Diary .We need significant change.

For me, everything is now pointing to the end of the road for TW. I expect us to hear something once Saturday is done and dusted. It's surely the only possible outcome for the wellbeing of the club. If we are making a change, I hope it's as soon as possible after Saturday so that we can get a hypot...

I like Wright, and he ticks so many boxes of what we need from a manager, but unfortunately he seems incapable of putting out a consistently decent side at this level.
Which is unfortunately the key requirement of his job.
Indeed - which is why I think the club needs a change

Re: Tommy Wright: 19/20 Season. Yay or Nay

I like Wright, and he ticks so many boxes of what we need from a manager, but unfortunately he seems incapable of putting out a consistently decent side at this level. The evidence from his previous spells at this level suggested as much, and his time here has further confirmed as much. I don't like...

Re: Guiseley match thread

The substitutions made no real difference - we were awful before them, and we were awful after them. The bigger problem was that, yet again, we were incapable of playing against a team which was physical - even one as bad as Guiseley.

Re: Darlington V Bradford PA

Probably fortunate to go in at half time level, but we played well in the second half. But I came away frustrated more than anything - this league on the whole is so average and we got our summer recruitment all wrong. Holness has made a big difference - a bit of physicality and someone capable of w...

Re: Next season

According to accounts player budgets were as below, *obviously 18/19 has reduced from starting point stated. 16/17 - 245k 17/18 - 351k 18/19 - 330k* This suggests in Gray's first season he done extremely well to get us into a play-off position. However it also doesn't take into account management/s...

Re: Next season

We certainly need a replacement for Styche - whether that's Styche himself or someone new isn't particularly important. I reckon it would bring a bit more out of Kneeshaw too - if he's still here of course. It'll be interesting to see who is under contract for next season. The way its worked out, I ...

Re: Darlington V Stockport

It's one of the saddest things about our club at present that virtually every fan you talk to says the same: "The end of this season can't come quick enough." Instead of enjoying the club that we all fund and looking forward to games, home and away, it's now more like going through the motions and ...

Re: Darlington V Stockport

It's probably nothing, but the lack of post match reaction makes me wonder if something has happened backstage

Anyway, a wholly expected defeat yesterday, but thankfully other results went our way, so we should be safe now. Roll on the end of the season.

Also, the club announced when we took him on that he was here until the end of this season (under contract, that is).
Did they? I've just been searching trying to find that info but couldn't find any mention of contract length!

If true another brilliant TW signing. He hasn't improved this season because.....................he hasn't played! Wonder if we gave him a one or two year contract when he turned 17? 2 year deal This loan should probably have happened a while ago - from the odd glimpse of him there looks to be a de...

No reason why he should answer this. I wouldn't expect to find that information out
Really? It seems manager contract lengths are normally fairly common knowledge. We knew the length of Gray's contract. I see no reason why we shouldn't know the length of Wright's contract.

Re: Darlington V Chester

Another game last night which was low on entertainment and quality. Plenty of possession but we never really looked threatening. Quite why Wright didn't try something to change things I've no idea. We're very likely to be only 6 points clear of FCUM going into our game with them - we're far from saf...

Re: FANS NETCAFE -this Friday evening.

I have no questions for Wright that will do me, the club or Wright any favours. He needs to get some points from the last 6 games, particularly FC Utd, Guiseley and Leamington, he can then bow out not so gracefully. Once safe (if we manage it) we announce Tommy is leaving and BTB relabelled as "fun...

Got to agree. He’s an Evo-Stik striker at best BUT he’s not far off football league standard as a centre back. If he’s happy to play centre back then he’ll be a huge asset for the club. If his heart is set on playing up front then he’ll be a liability. My MOTM yesterday by some distance. I think 'n...

Yeah I didn’t particularly disagree with the substitutions. Chorley were getting on top and we tried to get some more players in the middle.

A better performance though. Ainge is a very good CB at this level, and we look better going forwards with mobile players up front.

I guess for those fans who are frustrated with the ownership model, the obvious thing to do is to stand for election at the next DFCSG AGM on a manifesto stating you will seek out external 'investment' I can't imagine (if elected of course) they'll find someone wanting to chuck pots of cash at a 6th...
