Bloke who is two faced with regards to his comments in relation to Darlington Football Club is confused when people don't take him at his word. A shocking development

Re: Darlington V Boston

Ground out a win - we can certainly play a lot better, but it’s pleasing to see us being clinical and then keeping Boston at arms length. O’Neill is getting better by the week - would love to see his loan extended for the season. I don’t get the moaning about the ref personally - thought he was ok o...

Re: FA Cup Tamworth or Hereford V Darlington

And a damn sight worse than plenty of other draws we could have had. Long away trip against a team we will be favourites to lose to - hardly a thrilling prospect

If it does end up being Tamworth I’ll be somewhat more positive

Re: Democracy under threat.

These cultural differences aren't defects, as you insinuated, and pointing them out doesn't automatically make you a xenophobe. On this point, it was EDJOHNS who referred to 'character flaws ' in the Germans. They have a flaw which, anyone who knows them will know is true. On xenophobia, I would ar...

Re: Democracy under threat.

Which part of the video's do not show her demeanour to be the same as Hitlers when giving a speech? Which part of the subservient adoring looks on the peoples faces differs in any way from those of the people at the Nuremberg rallies? None of it in my opinion. I would suggest only a xenophobe would...

Not the most inspiring draw (although are any in the 3Q round?!) but it could have been worse. Would (obviously) perfer Chasetown but we should still have a reasonable chance against Leamington

Soooooo exciting to be in the third round draw - that hasn't happened for years and years and years  If I'm correct, I think this actually is the first time we've ever been in the third qualifying round draw. No - your postings supply all the evidence needed to make it a fact (or should that be FACT) that you are, quite clearly, a xenophobe. I don't think I've mentioned the EU army. Yes I have watched the video, no it does not remind me of Nazi germany. I'm not sure why you are bringing up the veto. I'm ...

A few responses. Nop. What you and your mate Gramps are doing is grabbing onto something you don't like to deflect (yet again), from the only valid point. I happen to disagree with a lot of what darlogramps posts, but we happen to be be on the same side on this, in calling you out as a xenophobe. Th...

I agree - we aren't that Blyth team, the playoffs aren't the be all and end all, we probably will end up midtable, and we definitely shouldn't be resting players in a cup match for the league games. But considering we're 7 points off the playoffs and it's the middle of september, to say the league s...

On paper, a decent draw - a team struggling 2 divisions lower. But we've had plenty of 'decent' draws recently, so I'll be suprised if anyone is confident about us winning

Re: Gloucester V Darlington

Well, according to these posts we don't really have any problems so I fail to see why we are 17th in the table. Possibly it's more that some people realise that this is a re-building year, there's gaps in the squad which Armstrong himself has said, we've had injury issues to some key player...

Re: Gloucester V Darlington

Aside from that, i think we can be happy with the contributions of Bascome, Donowa, O'Neil, Campbell and particularly Hatfield. Remember, this is a virtually newly assembled squad, who have been asked to play a lot of games in quick succession (ridiculously so, in fact, the more i think on this, it...

Re: Gloucester V Darlington

Well Cambell is a centre forward, and a good one at that based on his record for us. In a 442 he's effective, as shown when we play with O'Neill alongside him. But that doesn't negate the second part of your post as to the need for a physical centre forward too - a point which Armstrong himself has ...

Re: Gloucester V Darlington

Well, as much as I think he is a good player, Campbell has not proven he could do a job as a centre forward anywhere. The idea that he can seems to be an act of faith on AA's behalf. And a 1 in 2 record for us this season so far seems to be backing up Armstrong's faith in him as a goalscorer He doe...

We are basically stuck between a rock and a hard place. We can't afford to start from scratch, and the 2 'solutions' available to us both have many issues which makes growing the club much harder. I really hope we find out something soon, so that we can figure what is the best (or should that be 'le...

Re: Jamie Holmes out for six months

Real shame for him - hopefully his recovery goes well Also a bit problematic for us - having 2 players out injured for a long time is not ideal when we are completely spent up (plus Burn not playing either). On the flip side, we do have reasonable depth out wide with Thompson, Rivers, Donawa and Bell.
