Re: Darlington V Walsall Match Thread

We had a cup run. Something we have dreamed about for years. Only behind to a league two club late in both games. Proud of all the lads, gave their all. However, we desperately need a striker.

Re: Flares /pyrotechnics

Security were 100% ineffective, letting people stand in prohibited area in front of Tin Shed, stood by when people vaped 2 yards away & still some wassocks threw flares before and after the game. Just reinforced the point that BM is not equipped for giving a good view if there are more than 2000 at...

Playing non-league football on a plastic pitch at a giant empty stadium where we previously went under, sounds really tempting.
Exactly  not to mention the other times we narrowly escaped.

Imperfect Blackwell over this any day of the week.

The 192 online tickets were gone by 1 minute past 10!
Can’t help but worry this has been one person intending to sell on at a profit. Hopefully someone will check the validity of the purchase if so.
I am sure that one person did not put all 192 tickets in his basket and buy them .........,.

Thanks to the 500 members for helping to get us started. This cup run will help to make us self-sustaining if we invest in our future & not splurge on mercenaries. Ok we may need a couple of emergency signings to shore up a stretched squad, but I would trust AA to do the right thing. Marty would al...

It also says we haven’t been in the 2nd round since 2006, which is also incorrect. We played York in Round Two in 2010.
Come on it’s the Daily Mail, since when has it been factually correct???????

Re: O'Neill recalled

This is also not the Boro of old with stacks of first-team options waiting in the wings. In the past a couple of striker injuries probably wouldn't have led to the recall of an untried Academy lad playing four divisions lower down the pyramid. However, things are different at the Riverside now and ...

Re: The Darlo Fans Radio Podcast

Sadly, with my laptop speakers at 100% I could barely hear what Kev Luff, Craig Stoddard and DJ were saying. There is also no way of turning it up on the page either. I could hear the other two guys clearly (Michael Price and Stuart Armstrong is it?) - so what is going on there then? Can everybody ...

I'm not taking Super Les' comments as Gospel. I used them to highlight that other seemingly connected people did not believe Burn had been difficult. Who's right? I don't know. You don't know. He may have been, he may not. I only said I wasn't going to castigate him for stealing a wage on that evid...

Re: Fans forum needed

With John Woolnough gone I’ve heard the accounts are looking to be outsourced from Clive Owen who do the current pay role if this is true then it’s worrying as the DFCSG promised a tight hold of all finances as a fan owned club. It would be good to have an update on finances and where DFC are finan...

There are some brilliant posts here, and I echo the sentiment of "enjoy it" which is written above. I enjoyed the early years a lot, much more than I expected. This is totally my view. Seeing us win the league with 122 points and being pushed all the way was brilliant. A playoff win and another lea...

Could be wrong but I still think Leamington will come out on top in the replay having seen the highlights.
Leamington always hold their own in the league and can beat anyone on their day. Dangerous team if it’s them.

They’d have been better off giving the job to Mr Blyth Robbie Dale alongside an experienced head like Harry Dunn. Generating the millions needed to rebuild BM or build a stadium at the SV from scratch is not going to happen. If we ever want to progress beyond where we are then we can't stay at BM. I think, last season, it was after Blyth put Atkinson into that deep midfield position that they went on their long unbeaten run so hopefully he will have the same effect for us once he is fit. But I would never rule out a return to the Arena. DMP are in financial trouble and I could see us returning as tenants or if DMP go bust, I could see us returning as owners sometime in the future.
