Re: What's the point of fan ownership?
I initially thought this was spam or another troll from another club like Spen, but, I then read the name someone put up that has now been removed, if this is that person, he sounds like a disgruntled ex board member, surely he should approach the club with his concerns rather than stir things up o...

Re: What's the point of fan ownership?
Fascinating for a first post and a link I can't open and interesting that Kali has posted a reply for the first time in three years. Mates or the same person. Suspicious behaviours or maybe genuine? Genuine. Long time lurker. The link works for me, and the author is on page one of the document. Not...

Re: What's the point of fan ownership?
What is the point of fan ownership? That's not a rhetorical question, and I don't raise it in the pejorative sense, but how many Darlo fans would be able to give a succinct and compelling answer to that question when challenged? Perhaps you'd give me a brief history lesson on the succession of disa...

Re: Bar closure
It’s not a major inconvenience and is pretty much unavoidable given the wedding was supposedly booked prior to the fixtures being released. What is poor is the fact it was announced the day before the game. Whether that be the rugby club not letting the football club know until yesterday or the foot...

Re: Darlington FC's position regarding inaccurate social media postings
Libellous posts on social media should be treated very seriously. It brings nothing but harm and uncertainty.

Re: The Areana
The Arena still has a grass pitch and the stadium itself is sorely in need of painting as it is looking a real rusting hulk now. Can you imagine how much a full paint job would cost. Mowden Park's average crowd last season was 887 in the 25,500 capacity stadium. Would imagine as part of the SV deve...

Re: The Areana
The council love Mowden and have never done fuck all for DFC. I expect that to continue for ever more. By the way, I'd rather play at the Arena than BM - lesser of two evils - so no anti-moving to the Arena agenda here. I get where you are coming from, and actually agree with you RE the council. Bu...

Re: The Areana
While there are some plans outlining the "vision" of a sporting village, we don't yet know all the implications for the football club... what's envisaged, what's possible and, crucially, what would be involved financially. Until all that is presented in a clear and detailed way I don't think anyone...

Re: The Areana
If it's part of the plans for the Sporting Village - i.e temporary until a viable solution is made as part of the plans at the arena then yes. The Sporting Village is going to not only be huge for the town, but for the region - DFC simply can't not be a part of it IMO. It won't be "huge", it's all ...

Re: New Striker
Just like Man City and Liverpool with their giant Centre forwards. Football has evolved, it’s no longer about long balls and aerial crosses into the box. With a big man it’s a temptation to just hit it up to him against and equally big Centre half who relishes that type of play. Slow build up then ...

Re: New Striker
It would be nice to get a big strong CF in, a foil for Campbell.
