Re: Gateshead game...

Of course Gateshead centre-half’s dealt with Campbell better. Williamson was outstanding and so he should be - 2 years ago he was a Championship player and the season before that he was in the Premier League. We shouldn’t be comparing their defence to ours because of that very reason. Of course it’...

Re: Farsley V Darlington Match Thread

Not too downhearted to be honest, the pitch suited their style to a tee, the total opposite for us, we will surely not defend as poorly again hopefully and if so then Josh Heaton comes in.Atkinson will stiffen the midfield and some of our football in the second half I thought was good and we could h...

Great news, very happy with this squad of players and particularly pleased for Josh to return and kick start his career under AA.

Re: Josh Heaton

Harrogate have just allowed a centre half to leave and it doesn't seem like they are keen on Heaton so I don't see him ending up anywhere else. If he does sign it will give AA a selection headache as he seems to have penciled in Laing as his 1st choice centre back. It's been a long time since we've...

Re: Darlington away vs Bishop Auckland

Lock the Heritage Park doors and get Bell to sign on the dotted line! Agreed he looked quality when he came on on the second half and took his second goal superbly. I’d never heard of him but if there’s a chance to sign him up we should give him a go! Holmes also looked excellent! Sent from my iPho...

Wonder who will be alongside AA on the sidelines, cannot imagine he will be on his own, also the academy appointment must be due and see if Whitey will still be with us.Hope he is.

Re: Adam Campbell

Still think we're lacking more of a target man in the team up who can hold the ball up front to take some pressure off the defence when needed. Will be surprised if we don’t have a big CF on trial against Motherwell along with a couple more midfielders,so looking forward to seeing how we shape up i...

Signed, according to the Echo. Backup goalkeeper everywhere he's been, as far as I can see. Wonder if we'll go for him, and he'll compete with a loan keeper from Boro as was the rumour. Hemming again, perhaps? He will be first choice according to AA. Saw a couple of videos of Alfreton and he looked...

Another reason to get behind the lad - imagine he improved and we sold him on for some £££ sure that would stick in their throats.[/ Why don’t some posters on here just wait and see what ALL AA’s signings are like before posting negative comments. This is exactly what AA was referring to in his inte...

Re: New Manager Interviews this week

Spenny have offered eye watering money to 3 Blyth players, and you can bet your bottom dollar that a) we want all 3, b) they won't all get a regular game there, and c) it's more about denying Darlo than improving their squad. Really wish Spenny would do one, if McGuire is one of them, they play wit...

South Shields seem to rate Connell highly, reckon he could end up at Shildon with Gray if he does not fancy the travel.

Re: TW - Learning His Trade

I cannot see MG coming back to this club for a whole host of extremely valid reasons. Agreed, his focus 100% is on Shildon and linking his youth setup to them which I would imagine would be pretty lucrative for him. This is his level now and will probably try and replicate what he did with us, but c...

We certainly won't see Kneeshaw for the last 2 games and perhaps Palmer also after their injuries. Re: Darlington V Stockport

Am travelling in hope rather than expectation. We've drawn both our games there so far, would be great if that trend continued. If we do lose it must only be by the odd goal as our goal difference v those below us is effectively an extra point and we need to maintain that. Maybe the better surface ...

Re: Darlington V Chester

What is the point of signing players on loan and not playing them even when losing at home? Why play Elliot at left back for 2 games when just signed a left back on loan from a premiership club? Clearly he believes Elliott is a better left back so why on earth sign him? Why when losing 0-1 at home ...

Beating FC United at home will be a massive result for us and in all honesty would take a string of defeats to put us back in trouble. Then onto planning for next season and no repeat of this one would be acceptable.

Tide of opinion seems to have turned against TW since the Hereford game. Looks like the last straw to give away such a strong position in a crucial relegation battle. Our new strip should be white like the flag waved in the 2nd half. Listening to that on DFR in the 2nd half was painful, as soon as ...

TW has put together a fairly lightweight and fragile squad and I can very easily see us losing against Chester, drawing at Nuneaton and then losing at Stockport. In fact I can see a scenario in which we go into the final game at home to Leamington needing a victory to stay up. I really cannot in al...
