Goal celebrations

Watching MOTD2 can’t believe the Spurs goal celebrations. Still hugging and climbing all over each other. To be fair to Sheffield Utd they seemed much more restrained when they scored. Thought the players had been warned again about this. Seems ridiculous that a player could celebrate on his own but...

Imagine their reaction if Boston get drawn away to us. 😖😱
They will be pleased if we play as poorly as on their recent visit.

Re: Home Kit Vote

Fair comment Robbie I agree with the majority of what you say except the bit about providing a hooped option. Option 1 is a long way from the traditional hooped shirt that I would expect to see. It looks like I have sewn it together and made an absolute mess of it. For once I have to agree with Gram...

Re: Home Kit Vote

As for the vote and who gets to vote, I can see why it's done that way and it's fine with me (I would say that, as I get a vote), but plenty of clubs don't allow their fans a vote on the kit at all, so even if it's a limited pool of voters it's still more of a fan-perk than many get. Difference is ...

Re: Weymouth V Darlington FC FA Trophy

Well done Darlo after a long trip. Well done to those of us that chipped in with the travelling expenses despite the recent performances. It payed off. Let's hope for a decent but easier draw in the next round at home. Then at least the more judgemental of us won't have to bother chipping into the ...

Re: Home Kit Vote

These options are all pretty awful to be honest. Remember the backlash last year when there wasn’t a decent hooped option and there had to be a change of heart by the club. I thought after that it was said that in future there would always be a run off between a traditional hooped shirt and the othe...

Another ones gone. Tuesday home game with Hereford postponed due to their FA Trophy tie at Stamford being called off today because of the weather. That tie now taking place on Tuesday. Just adds a little bit more to the congestion unfortunately.

Away record predicts only 3 away defeats. By my reckoning we have already had them at Fylde Brackley and Farsley so that would mean being undefeated in next 15 away games!

Re: Farsley coverage

Atkinson is supposed to be a player who can play in defence or midfield. In truth we have seen little of him in his 18 months at the club. His performance in defence at Bristol Rovers was poor but I am surprised he has hardly been used in midfield given the absence of Holness and Hedley through inju...

Re: Farsley coverage

The whole point of bringing in Atkinson or Holness would be to change the system to 3 in midfield from the 4 4 2 formation. I think this is the principle reason why some are calling for changes in personnel. Sometimes I don’t know whether you are a bit slow on the uptake or just deliberately argumen...

Things are in a bad way & there are no easy solutions. I can't see what impeaching Trump is going to do. It will just add fuel to the fire of his supporters. Just let Biden take over & start to build bridges, rather than Trump trying to knock them down. I just hope that this is the end of Trump & h...

Re: Farsley coverage

When he plays a midfield three of Wheatley, Hatfield and Holness we will be a different side. Let's hope Holness is fit enough to start for the weekend. Agreed but if Holness not fully fit why not put Atkinson in as a defensive midfielder and allow Hatfield to roam forward more. Playing both Sousa ...

Tough conditions tonight but again we hardly troubled their keeper again. A A has to come up with some new ideas or we...

Re: Set pieces

It is the corners that frustrate me most when we consistently fail to beat the first defender.
I thought Sousa would be the answer to this but we seem to persist with Rivers too often. I know we don’t have much time to practice set pieces but surely we can do better.

Darlington FC really need this funding as an overnight stay gives us the best opportunity to win this tie , it's a long trip in a day then to try to compete a game is not desirable ,Best chance is to help fund the overnight stay, com on lads and lasses we can do it.we need to give the team a chance ...

With us been short at the back we could possibly get a loan deal for David Wheater who has moved back to the area and is massively out of favour at Oldham.
Interesting shout. Would definitely fit the bill of a strong no nonsense central defender that some have been calling for.

Can’t help thinking that if you could put the best of Spennymoor and the best of Darlington together you would have a really strong club that could be going places.
