Yes we did.
Awful performance that day.
Although this is a new Hornchurch as the team we played back then went under.
Awful ground as well . Running track around the ground that day gave a very bad viewing experience. Although the performance from Darlo was not worth watching

The correct title of The bank account is Darlington FC Supporters Group.
Banks have put in an extra security level where it checks the name of the account details you submit.
If anyone has any issues at all, use the correct bank title as above.
I hope that helps.

Re: Rugby League
Hi As some of you know, I am raising funds for the DFCSG by selling donated programmes. In one of the piles of donated programmes is a 1969 Castelford v Salford Callenge Cup Final programme from Wembley. Would anyone be interested in this programme for a donation to the Ground Development Fund? You ...

Re: Old Darlo Programmes
Whilst we gave had no games and obviously no programme shop at Quaker retail, I have been on a couple of programme groups on Facebook. In a couple of months I have raised over £350 in selling programmes to people around the country. I have programmes from all clubs and it's amazing that I have some ...

Mine's on a Standing Order so no need to renew. It's just one of my Standing Orders for the 1st of each month and is effectively just included in my month end budgeting. Standing order Joe, I might be wrong but most of the ones done through the BTB portal end after so many payments. I am sur...

Common sense indeed. The news is full of how bad tomorrow will be, so why ask a team to travel so far just to turn them round when they get here

Ground Development Fund - Bucket Collections.
It has been a while since I posted an update on our fans generosity. This year, we have been selling old programmes in the Quaker retail unit on match days, which has all gone into the donation buckets on match days. So as it stands, we have taken £2,743. So thank you everyone who has thrown in thei...

Re: old programmes
If someone would like to start and list 2500 programmes then that would be fantastic.
I just don't have the time.
That is why I would ask people to pop into Quaker retail on match days and see what we have and if there is something more specific, then let us know and we will have a look.

Re: old programmes
It is going reasonably well. We get a steady stream of people calling into Quaker retail and we have raised in excess of £100. I also have been selling some of the older programmes on facebook and have raised about £90 on there also. We have Darlo home and away programmes going back to the late 50's...

Re: Away to Trafford in the FA Cup
Done 2 games a day on many occasions. The first was August 9th 1980. Me and my mate got the train to Sheffield and went to Hillsborough to watch Sheff Wed play Sheff Utd in the league cup first round first leg, which was an 11am kick off. When that finished, we hot footed it down to the station to c...

Just an update for you all. The York game raised another £210. This included about £48 from old programme sales. This was the best day so far for raising funds from the sale of old programmes. If you haven't popped in to Quaker retail on match days, then please call in and see the array of programme...

A further update after the Bradford PA game.
The total collected was £257. This included a very generous donation from yesterdays 50/50 winner, who wanted £100 donated to the Ground Development Fund. A massive thank you from me

Just a reminder to everyone that Monday will see the first day we have our programme stall inside Quaker retail. I will be bringing about 1000 programmes down from the 70's through each decade. Re: old programmes
The insert most probably was the 'entry fee' team sheet. I have come across this programme once or twice over the years, but not with the 'teamsheet' included. Probably because they were thrown away once fans entered the ground as you could still buy the official programme. I cant remember attending...

After some inquiries, we are going to give this a go. I have had a word with Lynn in Quaker retail and we can set up a table on the left hand side of the unit on match days. We will start this on Bank Holiday Monday at the Bradford PA game. The logistics of putting out the programmes and then storin...

Another season starts and it looks like plenty of people were savings their pennies up for us over the summer as the buckets collected a sum of £283. With what we collected at the Halifax and Middlesbrough U 23 friendlies, the total now stands at £521. Lets see what this season brings and how it com...
