Re: Away to Trafford in the FA Cup

I think you'll find grytters and I were engaging in a bit of banter. It's not quite the same as the endless reams of point scoring and argument you find so much fun. Now you've got me at it! My last comment on location, their official Twitter says Urmston. One person’s banter is another person’s te...

Re: Josh Heaton

Massive shame if Heaton has gone. You just don't turn into a bad player overnight. I think St. Mirren was maybe a step to far for him too soon and has knocked his confidence. Maybe he just hasn't recovered yet. Regards your first quote. I have seen him twice this season and he was very poor. None o...

Re Hodgie’s pre match Q and A session, I wonder if anyone will quiz him on Singh’s failed takeover attempt and his part in it- or would this prove to be a little controversial. More like Pointless Surely that is hosted by a different Armstrong? Am disappointed our AA is not teaching the lads,...

On paper, a decent draw - a team struggling 2 divisions lower. But we've had plenty of 'decent' draws recently, so I'll be suprised if anyone is confident about us winning

Well after Chester being called Welsh and Southport getting abuse for being "Scousers" nothing's a geographical surprise. Not to mention the Fylde seaside, of course.
Or the white elephant in the room is Darlington really in County Durham?

I wouldn't expect a win v blyth they just signed Callum Roberts from newcastle and lewis Harkins from hartlepool Looks like they have found some money for some proper players We have nothing to be scared of, though it goes without saying that "expecting" a win is just asking for trouble. Re: International duty

I doubt we pay for youth loans from our larger neighbours, tbh. That said, we have some youth of our own we can give a go. It depends on AA's judgement i think. It's not ideal for sure, when we've just lost two players to long term injury. But, it's kind of cool seeing our players going off to play...

Played some good football in first 30 mins and were better team and should have scored but our finishing needs to be a little more clinical or luck. I don't wish him any ill will either, but he'll get a lot further in life and probably come across as a lot less bitter if he accepts his own role in how his career is panning out, rather than just blaming it all on other people. That interview paints him as very arrogant and lacking in self-awaren...

Morley has looked a shrewd addition off the field and must have covered his salary several times over in the last year. I think if we'd sorted Burn and Glover to move on it would make this easier. I've not seen anything about them for a while.
I don't see how we can sign Heaton with Burn still on the payroll unless we use some of Boris Johnson's magic money tree?

Harrogate have just allowed a centre half to leave and it doesn't seem like they are keen on Heaton so I don't see him ending up anywhere else. If he does sign it will give AA a selection headache as he seems to have penciled in Laing as his 1st choice centre back. It's been a long time since we've...

Obviously a cover story. I never did quite get the "love in" some fans had with Liam Hughes. The club did the right thing in supporting him last year when he had issues, and so did the fans, however I don't think he repaid any of that support by leaving us soon after returning to the team citing th...

very harsh article on the BBC sport website about him - Stubbs got sacked very early on before Heaton got a chance in the first team, and then the new manager didn't fancy him so he never got a look in. As above, due to their pitch not being ready.
They share with Halifax RLFC don't they so if in doubt blame the Rugby Club, sound familiar? Probably doing some much needed maintenance as Rugby Club not due to play their next League game there till 4th August.
