As above, due to their pitch not being ready.
They share with Halifax RLFC don't they so if in doubt blame the Rugby Club, sound familiar? Probably doing some much needed maintenance as Rugby Club not due to play their next League game there till 4th August.

What's his living situation? He's studying at Loughborough for another year isn't he? Does he live that way, or further south, or somewhere between Darlo and Loughborough? Re: Simon Ainge

I don't agree with personally attacking him, tbh. The guy is entitled to the money we promised him in a contract. The guys at this level aren't rich. They have livelihoods, and probably less job security than a lot of others. I don't know if Ainge has another job on the side, but football is a shor...

Or fans could just remain patient. There could well be reasons why they can’t formally announce anything. Deals can be tricky and may take a bit longer to go through officially. It happens. Don’t see that there’s anything odd about it at all to be honest. I meant odd Echo jumping the gun? But they’...

I hope this doesn't tempt fate but a Harrogate fan wrote this when TW bought him: "Gone to Darlington for a fee. Was great for us until his injury last season. When he came back it was obvious he wasn't the same player and spent most of the time on the bench. Went on loan to Wrexham and didn't get ...

Boston calling him a defender, although saying he is a physical presence in both boxes. Looks like Ainge was keen to get out as Boston boss said: "He has shown a lot of determination and hunger to make this deal happen and I am very much looking forward to working with him." I have seen enough play...

If you look at our last signing - Jordan Watson - the club mentioned in the article on the official site "after finally receiving clearance from the FA", this was an obvious hint at frustration over how long signings are taking to complete due to waiting for the FA. Re: Jordan Nicholson released

Styche officially signed for Hereford a while back. Funnily enough, I think we are one of the clubs where his face fit. I think a lot of places he didn't, and i suspect he runs his gob a bit, which rubs some people and teams (and fanbases) up the wrong way. For sure it isn't normal to go through th...

Re: Jordan Nicholson released

I’m sure it’s been posted in here but Jordan Nicholson has joined Reece Styche at Hereford. So (if true) Styche has notched up another Club to mark on his bedpost. Three in 12 months and counting. I never understood some fans "loyalty" to him. Yes circumstances may have meant we had to sell him, bu...

Signed, according to the Echo. Backup goalkeeper everywhere he's been, as far as I can see. Wonder if we'll go for him, and he'll compete with a loan keeper from Boro as was the rumour. Hemming again, perhaps? Strange that is still nothing official on the Club website but I guess the Echo knows bes...

Re: Another defender

The echo this morning said we had offered a contract to Adam Armstrong, which would fill the striker slot. It doesn't exactly scream "we expect to get him", though, does it? If he did sign, and we got a keeper on a season long loan, I'd say we're two midfielders away from having the bones of the sq...

I'm currently busy with work and my little one this weekend, once I am free from this evening and tomorrow. I'll get this sorted and knock a spreadsheet up and speak to DFCSG to see what they think? Re: Guess The First Fixture

Would anyone be interested in a “guess the first fixture?” As a little fundraiser for the footy club and a small prize for yourself... Say £5 a person for 1 team each, correct prediction gets that person 50% of the pot and the other 50% goes to the Ground Development or something? I’ll let the DFCS...

Re: Jordan Nicholson released

No, why would we? He was mutually released from his contract. He wanted to go, we wanted him off the wage bill. We can't have it both ways. The only way to get a fee for him would have been to refuse to cancel his contract. I was trying to point that out to Andy. See my comments above I know we wil...

Nicholson's contract was extended by the club when we didn't have a manager - it was nothing to do with AA, and so AA started on day 1 with Nicholson contracted yet wanting to leave Sorry and thanks. Re: Jordan Nicholson released

Manager Alun Armstrong said, "Jordan asked to leave because he didn't want to do the travelling. He was in touch with me as soon as I started the job." What is even mote confusing is why AA gave him a new contract, which presumably meant we might get a transfer fee if/when he left. Then his contact...
