Re: Wilson Kneeshaw

Not sure about a bench with impact as we only have 12 players including Glover. Still early days I know but let's not get ahead of ourselves..... Spot on! Especially as AA has stated there will have to be more departures. I hope he has got his Maths wrong as in the Echo article he states" I could d...

Re: Jordan Nicholson released

No, why would we? He was mutually released from his contract. He wanted to go, we wanted him off the wage bill. We can't have it both ways. The only way to get a fee for him would have been to refuse to cancel his contract. I was trying to point that out to Andy. See my comments above I know we wil...

He was released. We won’t get any fees for him in the future.
Or now when he finds a new Club?

Re: Jordan Nicholson released

Nicholson's contract was extended by the club when we didn't have a manager - it was nothing to do with AA, and so AA started on day 1 with Nicholson contracted yet wanting to leave Sorry and thanks. I mis-interpted Gramps comment above about "extending his contract a few weeks earlier" to mean tha...

Getting a bit depressing this. Only 12 players, one of whom recovering from an Op and no GK.

Re: Jordan Nicholson released

Manager Alun Armstrong said, "Jordan asked to leave because he didn't want to do the travelling. He was in touch with me as soon as I started the job." What is even mote confusing is why AA gave him a new contract, which presumably meant we might get a transfer fee if/when he left. Then his contact...

Re: Season 2019/20 - Key info *Please Sticky*

Gramps you have made Glover "disappear" like Winston Wolf. Or did he only have a contract till end of season? Nope fair point, have added him to the list. Although that speaks volumes about his contribution that most have forgotten he still is here. Hopefully TW hasn't forgotten and makes him his f...

Re: Tommy Wright Stratford manager

No pressure but they've just enjoyed the most successful season in their history including making the play-offs. TW seems to be talking a lot about giving youth a chance so maybe Glover will join him at a club closer to home. "Giving Yoof a chance" means five 16 year olds on the bench, very few wil...

I think he left during the FA Trophy winning season - was definitely Cooper who got rid, I remember away at Bath where he made a comment about Main standing around picking his nose in his post-match interview. We had Chris Senior, the Hitman, and I can't quite remember who else that season. I know ...

Re: Laing

Joking aside, the fact that Armstrong has now brought a decent core of his Blyth team with him (and hopefully a couple more to come) bodes really well for next season. A good core of players who already understand the way he's likely to want us to play, and presumably who all get along well and bri...

I'd be surprised if he was our new assistant manager, as I don't think he showed enough under TW, with issues regarding our defence and players fitness through last season.
Ideal person to head up the Academy then?

I have never understood the "Love in" some fans have with this player. He was a good but certainly not a great player, was not here long enough. I never thought he was as loyal as some made out. Unless AW is negotiating something then I agree no decisions should be made till new Manager appointed. Football contracts should not be decided only by the Board. The lad could of course just be "bigging" himself up while he treads water?

I think they were words of a man trying to protect his own interests. I think deep-down he knows that the recruitment last summer wasn’t good enough and that poor performances did reduce attendances. A really likeable person though and I wish him all the best for the future. Certainly has his stren...
