Re: Tommy Taylor Departs
All the best to Tommy. I'm sure an absolute brilliant lad to have around the changingroom and club. But for me, the right decision. With limited resources the loan route seems to be the best to maximise the position. You think we should just go with a loan keeper next season? What if we can't get a...

Half to admit, I have seen only a handful of his 66 appearnces for us, but he never seemed that consistent. Others will know better than me.

Re: Chester Away All ticket
Can you imagine the uproar if Ainge had banged in 20 by Xmas and was then whisked away by Fylde or similar for an 18 month or two-year deal and we got next to nowt. I was excited when we signed Simon Ainge, until the first game of the season where it was apparent he was immobile. Fans all got excit...

Re: Chester Away All ticket
0-0 sounded like a very drab end of season game. Well "sounded like" and being there are 2 different things. Good game even 1st half they maybe shaded the 2nd. Was not a bit like an end of season game. Asante was disappointing, seemed to want the ball playing directly to him rather than find any sp...

Are you stalking the guy? I would like to see him start today so we can see for ourselves what he might have to offer.Darlopartisan wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2024 11:40 amLooks like we should see Asante this afternoon, his shirt is hanging using the changing room at Chester

For the record, the Greek guy was still showing in the first team squad on the website 2 weeks ago, he's disappeared now. And he's not called Siddick Pete!

Re: Asante Starts
Well........he Starts in the squad for tomorrow according to the match preview! I think there was a hint in Steve's interview that he wanted to look at players he had not been able to look at so far so maybe he will start. Looking forward to see what he can offer.

Re: Chester Away All ticket
Bit non plussed about the clubs message about the game. Just reminds fans about our behaviour and the ticket sales close at 5 PM tomorrow. I would have thought some sort of postive message "support the Lads in numbers at our last game" may have pursuaded more to come down ans support but maybe i'm w...

Re: View from the Board/DJ
Aye, it just rubbed me up the wrong way listening to it. To be honest, it feels like there is an air of arrogance about it. We just want to know *something*. I can even deal with it if the honest answer is we just can’t afford it as a football club. Fine. But this kind insider ‘things are going wel...

Just listened again he is referring to Ground and Funding options "progressing well"........As we all agree a formal update is required from the Board.

I admit I was one of those who did not think there was enough time when Steve and Terry took over to save us. As others have said glad to be proved wrong. Fantastic effort from everyone at the club and the fans since they arrived.Looking forward to Chester next Saturday.

Re: Darlington v Farsley 13/04/24
Do Farsley ever bring that many to away games? Anyone No is the simple answer. They struggle to get supporters for home games. I would be surprised if they don't bring a couple of hundred, given they won their last game and the importance of this one. I was reckoning we'd just get over 2k, but give...

Warrington have similar work to complete as well don't they? Footings were in for some more seats behind the goal the other day but no steel work erected on phase two so far.theoriginalfatcat wrote: ↑Sun Apr 07, 2024 8:57 amI was thinking similar - stuff like this happens, it happened to us with Seatgate.

Re: Nathan Liddle- Physio update
A very interesting interview. Not sure whether the club have promoted this on the website yet? I did not understand the difference between a sports therapist and a physio so had to Google it myself. Sounds like Nathan has some great contacts at Teesside University, which could only benefit us.

Ginge If you are doing the same analysis for National league South relegation zone, then you really have got your work cut out! It is almost as interesting as our league with only I think one relegated so far. Keep up the good week work, I always enjoy reading your posts.

Just Sukar and Ngandu out injured according to the preview. SW seemed to indicate a few not fully match fit (thi5nk we can guess who) and also emphasized players need to train well to be considered, maybe implying that some currently aren't. Darlo 2-0 Southport. Southport fans desperately hoping "y...

Sort of a shame he never got a goodbye game. Assume he must have an offer lined up somewhere. Left by mutual consent so suits both parties. Who is next? I'd say Sukar but if he doesn't have a club lined up or isn't fit to play then he may as well see out the final weeks of his contract. Then I'd ex...

We are told there will be no new information available on the proposed new ground at the AGM but DJ will take questions. The obvious one being........ Why is there no update on the proposed new ground? This could get interesting!
