Re: Match Thread!
This is killing me. Just 12 miles from the game. Sat in front of my computer. Nothing keeping me from the game apart from greedy fu%&$£s. As Quakerz says, bricking it every time a tweet comes through. Wish I'd gone to a game though. This. I'd been looking forward to it for a number of weeks. Wife's...

Re: West Auckland boycott - Facebook group
The bottom line is now that everyone knows West's stance, everyone knows they are taking the piss out of us, most of us don't like that, and have broadly agreed that we won't have the piss taken out of us. There is a 9-10% minority that are prepared to go to West and line West's pockets and get lau...

Just so we're all clear here, are you seriously suggesting that you're going to form a picket line and try to prevent those of us who may be bringing our children to watch the game from entering?Fatty eats roadkill wrote:Tim, Tim! NEVER cross a fucking picket!

Re: West Auckland boycott - Facebook group
At the root of my personal decision, whatever it turns out to be, will be the fact I'm in my 50s and have been supporting the club for well over 40 years now. My father took me, and now I take my kids. I'm sure it's exactly the same for many of us here. Yes that's the case for me too. And like you ...

It's rather like christians and muslims really, a minority of people that will justify to themselves belief in their particular sky daddy, with any justification possible, no matter how wacky, no matter how much it gets pulled apart, simply because their desire to believe outweighs the reality that...

Re: West Auckland boycott - Facebook group
And how many fucking times does it need to be said that these players are used to playing at this level in front of 50 blokes and a couple of sheep dogs. It will always help them, having a big following cheering them on, but they will be able to cope for one fucking game - especially when they know...

i understand your making a stand but some of us arent lucky enough to be able to get to all the games so when a free weekend comes up im there Other clubs will be watching this. Re: West Auckland boycott - Facebook group
We won't take 6/700, no way. The poll on this site, which is very representative of Darlo fans as a whole shows 9% will go. Let's say a few cave in nearer the time and we go up to 15%, as a proportion of our support even that would only translate to 200-250. If even 200-250 of us attend, this would...

Re: Sunday Sun
Nice to see the Sunday Sun keeping up it's journalistic standards yesterday. The league table referred to us as Darlington 1993. That's a full 2 numbers out of 4 incorrect. Well, if it's an acceptable standard of journalism to have 2 characters per 2 words incorrect, we might as well respond by ref...

Just playing Devil's Advocate here, but I recall that seats at the Arena weren't exactly cheap. Logically, therefore, for us to now be complaining about other people setting high ticket pricres could be seen by some to be a little ironic, to say the least. How can one persons logic be so flawed? Ho...

West Auckland game: What would the players want?
I've been following the various discussions regarding the West Auckland game. Clearly, West Auckland are taking a liberty by proposing to put up the prices in this way. As such, I can fully accept that, for many people, this is either unaffordable, unacceptable, or both. But the thing I'm wondering ...

Personally, I will celebrate any success we have, at whatever level. It's finally our team, as we start again from the bottom. Yup, couldn't agree more. I'm absolutely loving this season so far. And let's face it, in making it 9 in a row we scrapped out a good result last night. It could have been ...

Nice to see the players and Martin Gray all take well-deserved applause in Billingham today too. Looks like this is going to become a regular feature now, well done StanWebbsGhost for bringing this up.

If this support continues, it might well be enough to eventually propel us back up into the Conference. After what we've been through in the past few years, I'd be more than happy to settle for that.
Right now though, it's just nice to enjoy a period of relative stability in the club.

This forum makes me laugh sometimes. I mean, we were always going to drop some points/get beaten eventually. Or were some people here expecting that we'd somehow go through the entire season unbeaten, without dropping a point? Come on folks, get real. In some ways, if handled correctly, getting beat...

I love the part about "the two ideas were to use it for sports or events."
Huh??
I mean, unless the land is leveled, what else could it reasonably be used for???
As regards the rest of the article, the words "shutting", "door", "horse" and "bolted" come to mind...

Re: Alarm bells ringing - Admission prices.
Now for families. If travelling by car the price of £3.50 is still cheaper than paying £5 to park, then add on the price of getting to the arena. Tickets are cheaper too, so even at the qoted prices of £12 & £8 a family of two adults and one child works out at £32. Arena price = £35(entrance fee of...

Couldnt this new board of our club have a rep of some of the groups. For example if the new consisted of say 8 people , one could have been voted by uncovered, one by the supporters club , one from the tykes and one from the trust (when they part with the cash). Just a thought. As a general princip...

(Echo) Rugby club opens door to Quakers

Interestingly, the article also contains a quote from Craig McKenna, who states that " Some of the fans want us to investigate a return to Feethams, but I am not sure whet...

They said 30k to buy the assets, but why are you so bothered anyway? As for the last 4 months, it is not news that administrators cost fucking shedloads. Hence why the club was nearly shut 2 weeks after getting 12,000 (and at least 100k) through the gates! Whilst it may or may not have cost "shedlo...

Nice piece of film, Shaun, well done!
Watching it just now, and bearing in mind developments over the past few days, I'm becoming persuaded that the time to get behind this campaign is now and that to do so is in the interests of anybody who wants to see the club return to feethams.
