Re: Leamington v Darlington

The next round I would prefer a home draw against lower league opposition and hope we don't come unstuck. We're then into the first round proper where tv rights come into it and the big money comes into play. Do you then go for a good draw where there is a chance of an upset and the tv is all over i...

It's got to be a home draw against lower league opposition which will give us the best opportunity to progress into the next round for me.

Re: Darlo v York

Not sure if it is correct but on the buy your ticket site for home supporters it says there is only 100 standing tickets left 58 seating. 207 standing for away supporters.

Is it already close to a full house?

Re: Darlo v York

York have sold the allocation for the seating with 217 left from the standing allocation of 770.

Around 650 sold so far.

Re: Gloucester V Darlington

A bit harsh to single Heaton out, Galbraith Laing and Watson have also been culpable for a few of the goals. Heaton is not fully match fit and hasn't had a preseason to familiarise himself with others yet.

Re: Darlington V Blyth

So the injury situation seems to go from bad to worse. Atkinson really struggling Elliott ankle injury, was up like a red balloon.

Appears we may have brought in a right back let's hope he is available for Saturday.

Re: Bradford PA...

Donawa is raw and exciting but his end product isn’t great. He isn’t ready to start at present. [/quote] I agree with you he is raw but for me his best position is out wide where he can get a run at people but not centrally where it is congested. Armstrong should have stuck with the formation we had...

Re: Bradford PA...

One of the issues for me is since we lost Trottman and Liddle we have lost the use of the fullback bombing forward and linking up with Thommo and Rivers. Atkinson is obviously not fit and doesn't to appear into that mold so like Armstrong said a couple of weeks ago he will have to utilize the loan m...

I would expect Atkinson to come in for Liddle and Thommo for Donawa with no other changes.

I would give Donawa another run out on Monday at home to BPA.

Re: Curzon Ashton v Darlo

It will be interesting to see how Heaton shapes up tonight in place of Galbraith. A good performance tonight may give him the shirt for future games. After last season it is great to see competition for places. Saturday will be even more interesting to see who takes Thommo's place. I would give Dona...

I honestly don't know what is happening with the place. Toilets out of order, tv not working, no card machine, ice machine broken. As the previous later stated the pitch looked great Wednesday but looked as if it hadn't been touched since then. I fear for the place if we pull out it as it appears to...

Superb news, absolutely superb. By my reckoning that means the squad must look like the following: Elliott/Hall Trotman/Laing/Galbraith/Heaton/Watson/Liddle Atkinson/Hatfield/Holness/Wheatley/Bascombe Thompson/Rivers/Holmes/Donawa/Bell Campbell/O’Neill Have you not missed off young Holliday as I'm ...

Re: Expectations 19/20

Having seen Blyth last season I personally believe the team we currently have is a lot stronger than that team and we have more of a squad. The question is have we someone up front like Maguire who is going to get 25 goals or have we a number of players who are going to get us 10+. What I noticed ov...

Never in my wildest dreams did I expect Heaton to be playing for us again. Really hope we can find a way of signing him, as it would be a massive boost and upgrade for our defence. Clearly the lad wants to come back, let's hope this happens. Reading between the lines it appears that he may have alr...

Great news if he has signed.

We now have Galbraith/Watson for left centre back and Laing/Heaton right centre.

Laing I dint know how the Pools didn't rate him I have been really impressed with him so far. Can't wait for the season to start. Bring it on.

Re: Darlington away vs Bishop Auckland

Glover did well for the majority of the half unfortunately he had a spell of 5 minutes when he couldn't do a thing right. AA got a little frustrated with him at one point and threw a water bottle in the dugout area. Personally thought the lad had a good game up until this point. Seems to look a few ...
