Re: What is clear....

That reads like AA is getting very frustrated in his efforts to sign a team. I hope his propensity to vent his frustrations, and criticise players at this level, doesn't come back to bite him. It's not a great approach to recruitment. He hasn’t criticised players at this level. He’s criticising the...

Re: Gateshead

One of the great football traditions is Gateshead going bust. They then tend to be replaced by a team from South Shields moving to Gateshead and changing it's name.

Lloyd Maitland

I'm sitting at my desk thinking about Lloyd Maitland (in a non-sexual way). I'm led to believe that his Darlo career ended in the late 70s in bizarre fashion. Was he run over by a team mate whilst having a piss in an alleyway? If so, who was the team mate, and where was the alley? I feel like it nee...

Re: New Manager Poll

I have to be honest and say that I haven't a clue who half of these people are.

I'm also very wary of appointing a Northern League Manager. Whatever their success at that level, there is every chance we would be promoting them beyond their abilities.

Re: Favourite game + season grading

The Boxing day demolition of York is the stand out game of the season. There were others though - beating both Telford and Kidderminster 3 nil each. I actually enjoyed the games against Blyth, Spennymoor and Chorley, where we played well but didn't win. In fact, we seemed to play well against suppos...

I wonder if we will see the return of the Neasham Road Action Group. Or whether they consider Rugby fans to be more palatable to football fans.

The Report suggests work is expected to start later this year, and be completed next year. But then it says the Planning Application is likely to be submitted later this year. Are they expecting a quick decision?

The blue one is nothing more than a dull training kit/T-shirt template. I voted purple, but I'm hoping there are better designs to come.

Personally, I can't stand Virgin and Branson, who are tax avoiding carpet baggers. my dislike for Virgin is compounded by Virgin Care suing the NHS for £82 million after losing their contract to provide children's services in Surrey. I also hated watching football at the Arena. However, this doesn't...

I'm really struggling with all "the club" comments. I thought we were fan owned. If you're unhappy with the information youre getting (I'm not) then why not arrange to speak to board members or better still become one. Didn't we just have a vote for boad members? They've carried us a long way in su...

Reading the Fylde post just made this cross my mind. That road is pretty sparse, pub wise from the town. Might be Twenty2's for me? Ralph the owner of 22s really doesn't like football fans so can't see any colours allowed in there. You are better off trying the Blackwell Grange bar. I don't think R...

I wasn't that impressed with Penney to be honest. We should have gone up in 2007-08, and were even 3-1 up on aggregate in the play off semi-final. For me, that season was a missed opportunity. I understand why he went to Oldham, and don't begrudge him that, but I'm afraid he has never lived up to hi...
