Re: Martin Gray

Can he build a squad on a shoestring? I've only ever seen him churn through signings 'til he finds one that fits and overspend on the budget.

Re: Martin Gray

I don't care if Gray stays or not tbh. He's done a great job but he's had the budget and the fact that we're a big club. He thinks he's bigger than the club and I'm starting to feel like with all of his academy ties and whatnot it is getting that way. I'm not trying to drive anyone out but the way t...

Re: AVERAGE ATTENDANCE AND NUMBER OF SEASON TICKET HOLDERS

Good afternoon all asked great news to hear you're hopefully returning to Darlington as some of my favourite away trips were to the old ground even though we got postponed three times one season! A few quick questions please. What is your average home attendance currently and what do you expect thi...

Re: Match updates

From where I was it looked as though he nicked and was never able to quite get up and running as the keeper was all over him and eventually dragged him down. If Cartman fouled the keeper to get the ball then freekick if not then should probably have been red no? I know he was facing into the corner ...

Re: Match updates

I don't think the ref cost us the game (we were very put) just don't think he was good or strong. I was the other end (and opposite corner) of the pitch but it looked a red to me. Cartman got the ball and was getting away before being hauled down by keeper. It was a simple finish from 20 yards into ...

Re: Match updates

Today the ref was strong enough to stand up to it, he deserved to go. The ref strong? He wasn't strong when it mattered in sending off their goalkeeper. He wasn't strong (our perhaps interested) in dealing with the number of late challenges they were putting in. Not the reason we lost but didn't he...

Not sure why Mossley is postponed. No more snowfall here yesterday and none predicted. Not seen the pitch but would have thought it was playable. Not been too cold either.

Re: Droylsden vs. Darlo

I thought Reed was quite good. Was worried he was going to be a bit lightweight but he was canny in possession and didn't lose it often. He was good at putting them under pressure if not a solid tackler.

Re: Droylsden vs. Darlo

Thought Noble was ok, seen enough to think he will go past a man more times than Fisher will (sadly as many have said, its just not working out for Fisher). Can't make an instant decision on 65 minutes or so when the team were very good for 45 but poor for the other 20. If I was Gray then I would c...

Re: Droylsden vs. Darlo

I really didn't rate Noble. He tried but was ineffective. Showed some decent pace but then fluffed it when through and then after that was awful. He dived and lost possession leading to their first then 5 minutes later was back defending a free kick and was really weak in a challenge that almost all...

Re: Today's match

Having overheard the chief steward they were not really of a high standard and I think they were completely overwhelmed, you would have thought they would have been on top form today for what is presumably their biggest gate of the year but I think they were too casual. I don't think some of them ev...

Re: Droylsden vs. Darlo

Thought the Ref Reffed well to be fair got most things right.. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk not sure taking the players off was very good I thought he was quite good for the most part - especially considering the usual standard. Don't really disagree with the ref taking the players off - I thin...

Re: Radio today.

Tactics aside I thought the team looked tired and I don't think the substitutions helped much. Robinson was a passenger the entire game - which White didn't mind telling him to the cost of his own contribution in the last 10 minutes. Noble did not have great game and that dive OUTSIDE their box lost...

I don't have the foggiest who any of them are only that I heard one of them tell the bobby escorting him out that one of the lads was his "mukka from Afghanistan so..." I didn't hear the rest of the conversation but I presume it ended "...so it was my duty to help him beat up schoolchildren"

Re: Today's match

They didn't look 16 to me. At least 18+, some of them were squaddies. Now the lads that got punched they were no more than 15. It was a disgrace. The stewards took a few punches and it looked to me that they were also turning on Darlo fans that were trying to intervene.* The "lady" stood next to me ...

Hero. Face up to his crimes? He hasn't committed any, at least not the ones he has been charged with. He passed the docs to his own people not a foreign power. Re: Evo-Stik Div 1 North 11/12

Next season is definitely going to be better for me. Should get to many more Manchester / Leeds area games. I think the away support will be good but we won't be as big a pay day for everyone as this year I think the most important thing is that we should be making a comparatively large amount of re...

Wouldn't have mattered if we had won 2 nil or lost 2 nil we would still be talking about it because it was dirt, I hardly think we're bothered because we are bitter about dropping points. Personally I think the moment of madness argument is a weak one - doing something like that pretty much answers ...

at £20 per hundred I'd be tempted to get a few more printed out and ship them around local doctors and dentists surgeries too if we could find willing fans - even just giving them out like free papers in the cornmill - might undermind those that buy them like but it is all free advertising for the c...

Make that 151.... I'm in now despite my reservations. I didn't invest after crowdcube as I really didn't like the model. I don't like that there's no clear ownership structure. I don't like that such a large amount if money is to be invested via loosely formed fans groups that were not and probably ...
