Re: Guiseley Away this Saturday 26th Oct

Eurgh Guiseley the slowest journey ever.

You are less than 6 miles from the ground once you get around Bradford but it somehow takes another half an hour to get there.

Its the same as match officials expenses...although actually in league games it is 34p per mile but it is the clubs who vote on that.

Re: FA Cup draw - Darlo Away to Walsall

I just imagine it will be Dulwich Hamlet. They have made the BBC articles a lot in the past year both for their ground issues and also because of their strong attendances at the level they operate. They are a NLS team like us (although in pretty poor form 3 defeats and 2 draws in last 5) and are pla...

Re: FA Cup draw - Darlo Away to Walsall

There is one good thing about being drawn away again it means the rugby club don't get to sponge another thousand plus off us in rent for this same reason I hope we emulate that league cup result from ten years ago without the need for a replay. The nasty rugby club charging us rent to use their gr...

Re: FA Cup draw - Darlo Away to Walsall

I'd take a draw actually that would be a good result away and bring them back to BM that is one way to make the most of this draw.

That is actually a very plausible outcome as well given respective form...all is not lost!

The things the FA Cup throw up though.

The winners of Haringey / Yeovil v Hartlepool given recent events is 'interesting'.

Re: FA CUP FIRST ROUND

Isn't it always the same with an FA Cup tie? You either want a winnable tie or a big tie - it used to be away from home to capitalise on the financial return but actually with the potential £80k+ (I think that is what Warrington got in terms of TV against Exeter) TV bonus which is more likely if you...

So confused by this...do we need a fans forum every time you hear a rumour? What exactly is the 'accounts' action you are concerned about. Nothing you have said indicates any less oversight of financial position by DFCSG. All it reads at worst case is we are getting someone else to produce our annua...

Re: Darlington V Boston

Looking at their squad they are clearly yet another club who are bankrolled to fuck. Also, it appears they are getting a shiny new ground too. I hope we utterly smash them. Well hush my mouth it appears that they are not bankrolled. Yes, they are the 2nd known club in the NLN (as well as us) to liv...

Unless you can introduce individual player wage caps, (which is illegal), then you are left in the stupid financial situation where clubs at all levels are paying far more than is viable competing for the holy grail of promotion. The money clubs are paying in wages is ridiculous across football in ...

Re: Hereford v tamworth

When asked about the Darlington game, the Tamworth management have already said: "We don't fear anyone." They believe they've got a very winnable tie on their own patch. They have nothing to lose now do they. I expect they are confident after beating Hereford and their current league performance wi...

I think Potters Bar v Barnet...

Underdog at home swings it over Notts County game plus I am sure that I’ve read the BBC getting some stick over northern bias in choice of games in the earlier rounds.

Come on Tamworth tonight...

I think this is the last round where we can probably expect to face lower league opposition. After this it will be either equivalent level at best. The only game worth any money to us in this round would be Hartlepool away (but the costs of staging the game would probably balance out the share of ta...

Re: Leamington v Darlington

This is a strange question...but are Bury expelled from the FA Cup?

The EFL expelled then from their competition, but as far as I am aware they have yet to be liquidated and Bury FC will still hold an affiliation with the FA.

Are they not entitled to enter a team in the FA Cup as a result?

Yep. Burn could really want to play but we want him off the wage bill and are forcing him out effectively. That he hasn’t found anywhere else is perhaps unfortunate but I wouldn’t expect him to quit otherwise. Nobody knows the reason and the reason I reference the Richards article is that it’s not h...

I wonder how many out there having a go at me can actually sing the entire national anthem. Most countries sing their's in entirety. Why do we only sing 1/3rd of ours? Who cares? What is a country ultimately if not a man made concept and claim of possession on the worlds resources. It just creates ...

I can't believe the use of the word "but" on the bunker to be honest. Agree Quakerz from what I can see with him he actually wanted to be involved with too much too deep. Think Alun Armstrong pretty much summarised how I saw the game yesterday.
