Re: Season at risk of finishing early

[Spenn 66 Its a bit like agreeing to buy a house, when you only have a job for 3 months and no employment agreed beyond that period. You might go ahead on the basis that you could get another job, or that something might turn up. The key here is hope, something footie fans need lots of at the best ...

Re: Season at risk of finishing early

We should never have been so fixated on starting in reality. That was really pushed by the NL though. I would say is the expectation of football to just be handed money is a weird one. Why football is being treated in such a special way compared to most other businesses. Furlough has enabled a reduc...

Re: Season at risk of finishing early

It was a big leap of faith to start - if I remember rightly the funding wasn't even agreed at the point we actually kicked off just guaranteed it would be coming.

Kettering's captain has been sent off tonight for hitting their ref, and has had to be restrained by stewards as he attempted to re-enter the field of play. https://twitter.com/LeamingtonFC/status/1351619516107694080?s=19 So much for his football career... Re: Season at risk of finishing early

Just wondering, but if the League decided that clubs must continue to fulfil fixtures without grants, as loans are available, and the clubs decide that they cannot do this without a complete meltdown to their finances, what would be the options open to them? Could the League insist on them carrying...

Re: Weymouth V Darlington FC FA Trophy

Who was Morgan? Wasn't that game one of the first after Hodgson returned in the great escape administration season? Looking at that line up makes the job he did seem even more incredible. Aside from Maddison, Conlon, Clark and Clarke that team was non-league standard when you look back. Sent from m...

Re: Home Kit Vote

The basis of the complaint seems to be that you don't like kit 1 as a hooped option. That has then been translated as meaning that it is definitively a bad option, and that is a deliberate act to make people choose something else. As it happens I actually like option 1. Others have said they do as ...

Re: Home Kit Vote

How much profit does the club make on the sale of a shirt? Don't think it is definitively known. I am not actually sure it would be the most commercially sensible thing to release as well. The info we have is that the Joma kits have a lower cost price compared with Puma and the alternatives looked ...

It also removes any suspicion the DFCSG are trying to load the vote.
Baseless suspicions (board members confirm no agenda at all, and clearly explained the process) leading to a disputed vote output are clearly popular right now.

Re: Home Kit Vote

Roughly how many members does the DFCSG have? Less than 350 voted in the semis, considerably less than 12 months ago (according to the club, in excess of 1800 votes were cast). About 800 according to the updates at the AGM in October. And if your figure of 1,000 is true, that would suggest nearly 2...

However I do massively disagree with the way this vote is being carried out. The DFCSG board let the cat out of the bag last year by saying they wanted change and excluding hoops altogether. Aren't a good proportion of the DFCSG board only 3 months in role due to 2 stepping down and 3 having to ret...

"handful of supporters at the top" by that assume you mean those who were democratically voted for by the owners of the club?

As Divas said there are opportunities to initiate change if so desired.

I don't think restricting it to YOURCLUB members is an issue. It is right that the owners get a say and that is what the YOURCLUB members are aren't they for their £20 a year membership. Yet come Boost The Budget, the club wants all fans to put money in, not just YOURCLUB members. Can't have it bot...

1 and 4 are ok. I prefer 1 initially but actually I think 4 is smart.

Not a fan of 3 it just feels like a very basic template.

2 is up there with the worst things I've seen on the internet.

Blyth and Curzon relegated. Does anyone think there will actually be relegation from our level this season? There will be if South Shields get their way - saying you should use 46 games over 2 seasons to get a final table They also say no relegation and increase of number of clubs to 24 at NLN of y...

Re: 4th Place Finish This Season

Not based on how we are playing, but equally we are only a quarter of the way through the league season. Win our games in hand on second placed Chester and we would go above them. It's not unrealistic but it is also not particularly likely. We don't appear to have the cohesion needed to win that man...

Do feel people are somewhat harsh on other clubs around their streaming. 1. We are blessed with technically skilled people and a fan base size which makes it more likely we have them 2. Northern League are considering making their season null&void, so for once they are showing some initiative & putting the FA and all the 'elite' leagues to shame. The leagues are only doing it because they can't legally play under government rules and believe the decision is effectively forced upon...

The PFA are funding the testing for the EFL, so not just expected on the EFL to fund it themselves.
If that is the case then it would be strange for the PFA to pay for some of its members and not it's others, otherwise could question what they are paying their memberships for?

Definitely agree that it seems to be needed to continue. I just expect it won't be anything but a league responsibility ie. well if you don't pay for it then it doesn't happen and you have to manage the consequence. The league will just be asked to determine an outcome for their season. Only 2 games...

Re: Southport away postponed

The rapid flow tests are much, much cheaper and can be administered in-house. The £8.25 million cost is 1.7% of the FA's annual turnover. The game is awash with money and it's negligent that players of the 66 National League clubs aren't being tested when their fellow elite colleagues are. I don't ...
