Re: Swindon away

The only problem with Barrow v AFC Wimbledon is they can't spend 80% of commentary referring to the trades of the players.

Re: Swindon away

A lot to sort before this game really. iFollow which Swindon use for league games, doesn't stretch to FA Cup games currently and FA have said that the home said can stream if the want to but not they have to. I am sure they won't but perhaps Swindon could leave the streaming to Darlo, I can't see w...

Re: Swindon away

Agreed it is slightly tougher than Walsall - they were a struggling league two side not league one but regardless let's just enjoy it. I am surprised people think it has any shot of being the TV game though. Tonbridge Angels v Bradford City Maldon & Tiptree v Bristol Rovers Eastbourne Borough v Blac...

Re: Cambridge City at home

Let’s say we draw Sunderland and BT choose to televise that, BT won’t be best pleased, having paid for the rights, if Quaker TV also streams it, potentially taking away their business and revenue. Ah yes of course. I guess I figured there were existing conditions which effectively gave exclusivity ...

Re: Cambridge City at home

Last year was £75k to be selected as a TV game. Even if that is reduced to sat £65k, I would still take that right now. However most likely we get someone away and it’s not a big deal for TV etc. weird one as the team don’t even know if we will be allowed to stream the games even if not TV selected...

Re: Cambridge City at home

The issue is who other clubs get. With someone like Skelmersdale still in the competition it is highly likely they will be the TV game. Between BBC and BT, there’ll be at least four TV games with it being the first round. And in recent years the BBC have been doing their Final Score, with the match...

They can't even play home games at the moment because the council leisure centre they play at doesn't allow access to changing rooms.

Re: QTV today

Do Cambridge City get a share of the cash from the 950? Believe so. Clubs who can admit home spectators but not away spectators have to share their gate receipts. It's only right that they would anyway. First and foremost their exies need to come out of match income and secondly otherwise competing...

Re: Support package announced

Think the disproportionate division between national and n/s is the biggest source of discontent See I actually disagree with this. They have pretty much has 2x the funding as NLN/S. Wasn't it estimated it would cost 3x as much to compete at NL level? I don't think we've been that badly affected by...

Re: Support package announced

30K per month for as long as we're behind closed doors should more or less cover it. I'm hopeful that 30k a month is roughly the figure we were hoping for to balance the books. That feels about right on the face of it. Could be a £10k deficit if we get it for eight months but a bit of progress in t...

Re: Support package announced

If all confirmed then £30k per month seems reasonable for us. Not sure how some teams with smaller attendances get the same as teams with higher etc. generally but you get what you are given and get on with it I guess. If I am honest without really looking at all numbers and how long this goes on f...

Re: Support package announced

If it is based on attendances last season the top 5 would be York Hereford Chester Dulwich Hamlet Maidstone United We would be 6th but tbf Kidderminster, Fylde and Havant & Waterlooville were reasonably similar to us. Re: Support package announced

Yep that is based on the clubs in NLN/S last season and doesn't include those who were NLP last season. I have a feeling they may get first dibs. I really thought they would just take the total average attendance. Work out a £/person on the total pot and then apportion accordingly. Never mind shame ...

You could be right, but then again it wouldn’t surprise me if he isn’t contracted to Tadcaster. The fact that he is training with us with a view to sign may just indicate he isn’t contracted and just 7-days notice is required. We will see. I agree looking at his history I would actually be slightly...

So yes he was lucky to get a second opportunity whether he is proficient or not. I doubt very much if we had not had the injuries he would have gotten the chance. He is not lucky.

When did it become luck to be asked to do a job when you are proven to be proficient at that job.
