Another player mentioned is Alex Pattison, a Darlo lad who is at Wycombe, again not sure if he has been released
Came on in League One playoff semi-final last night - may still be released but you would think it's an almighty drop.

Re: Potential new signings

Surely we will get some signings announced in the next couple of weeks. I'm not expecting much until start of August when playoffs conclude and I guess there will be some certainty over a start date. If we are closer to January than September to restart I am not sure there will be much rush on sign...

Re: Vice Presidents Donate More Funds | York City Football Club

Might be a blessing in disguise that we weren't in the play-off places. Can you imagine the "debate" on here if you / I / we had to make the decision to gamble that much of our club's money? I think it is right that had we been in the position it would have been a case of asking the owners w...

Re: Potential new signings

I see the Mackems have let 24 go. The majority of these are players aged under 24 so presumably haven't had much if any first team involvement. I've no idea who they are though I'm sure others will. From the number alone though you'd think there may be one or two that could perhaps do a job for us?...

Re: Increasingly unlikely playoffs

York can want whatever they want. The decision was laid out if they don't get enough teams prepared to compete then only 1 goes up. I think its been confirmed York, Boston, Altrincham and Gateshead are defos going to compete from NLN anyway... Weymouth are fundraising for it but I cant honestly say ...

Re: Increasingly unlikely playoffs

The FA is a private club and make up their own rules. Unless this conflicts with the law of the land then there is nothing a solicitor can do to overturn any decision made by the FA. Yep it's a club all members affiliate to and in doing so acknowledge the rules and regs they document. In reality th...

Re: Increasingly unlikely playoffs

They can’t complain, not when they spend hundreds of thousands on a budget each year to attract players from far & wide. Nobody forced them to take the case on. Agree most of this seems to be covering the FAs legal fees. What would be the alternative that all other affiliates to the FA have to effe...

Re: Increasingly unlikely playoffs

According to fylde chairman it will cost clubs £150k to play in play offs. There is also insurance on top of that. Clubs in NLN surely cannot afford that! That’s what he wants them to think! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk York have actually confirmed this. They said £120k-£150k of cost will be ...

Re: Potential new signings

Maybe not, alun says he doesn't want players who have to travel a long way, depending where he lives, and 36 year old???. Remember him from his Bolton days. I have a feeling there was an old footie manager game where he was one of those players classed as "high potential". I wouldn't be put off by ...

Re: Increasingly unlikely playoffs

At this level I think a lot of players are on 52 week contracts ( even part time players) but this varies by club. How many is a lot. I suspect the vast majority are on 40 weeks contracts (which is why at this level you do see many players announced in May / June time). Rather than 1st July which i...

Re: 19/20 Season Ticket Refunds

Maybe - I just don't see why send it out now and not a month ago then if trying to establish VAT treatment is neither here nor there and could always come next - when it was said that only finer details were being worked out on 23rd May.

Re: Increasingly unlikely playoffs

The FA have also explicitly said that they won’t promote anyone to fill gaps higher up the divisions. If the Step 2 play-offs take place, that means four promoted in total to the National League, with three coming down (Chorley, Ebbsfleet and AFC Fylde) to keep Step 1 at 24 teams. That would mean N...

Re: 19/20 Season Ticket Refunds

Are you actually aware of any ‘real’ concerns from those in charge or is this just being completely over thought? Re: 19/20 Season Ticket Refunds

Under Consumer Rights Act we had to offer a refund - which would have resulted in a VAT adjustment. That is absolute there are no questions there. Donations are not subject to VAT. Again that is absolute there is no question there. If all customers received a refund, and then separately donated the ...

Re: 19/20 Season Ticket Refunds

This VAT donation of season ticket monies isn’t straight forward btw. I understand the club is still checking the legalities before adjusting the accounts. Re: 19/20 Season Ticket Refunds

Just a thought would it cost the club very much to let the season ticket holders have a discounted shirt for next season - don't slate me - I said it's just a thought and I am referring to the fans who lost the four home games.. Depends if the person was likely to buy a shirt or not to start with. ...

Re: Increasingly unlikely playoffs

Was looking forward to a trip up to South Shields, but with no relegation from NLN & no promotion, the only way they could go up is if another club goes bust. Would not wish that on anyone. Won't happen even if something did. The only situation would be if en masse a lot of clubs went resulting in ...

makes sense. I am seem to remember as long as you produced a single programme which you could present to Mike Amos or the "match day bad language police" then you had met the league rule.

Re: Darlington Formed 2012

The share issue is utterly irrelevant because even had Radged Strings handed it over willingly, the FA would still have got us on the new rule about clubs exiting administration without agreeing a CVA. Fact still remains. There was only ever 1 person with enough voting power to actually vote the CV...
