Re: Hodgy

Not really. Chicken and egg suggests you can't distinguish what came first. I am pretty confident that the financial mismanagement is the trigger for relegation and further decline more often than anything else. Relegation with liabilities that cannot be met leads to the further decline. Last season...

Re: Hodgy

Not sure anyone is saying it's not a bad thing on financial grounds. It is just part and parcel of football isn't it? End of the day in 1 July the league tables reset and the new season starts. The impact of being relegated is you start in a different division, against different teams. The task is s...

Re: Hodgy

We really need to stay in this league - a lot of steam would go out of the Darlo Express if we ended up back on the branch lines. I disagree to be honest. We will simply get the club that the fans back eventually. We should be higher in this division but we should also be able to get promoted back ...

Re: They don't think much of our chances

Not surprising. Kings Lynn have lost their last 3 which will be projected as well.

Blyth look pretty precarious as well. Only Bishop's Stortford and Gloucester are below them in the form table.

To be fair our transfer listing of players was a pretty poor effort. We didn't actually send a circular round other clubs who might be interested. Obviously just dependent on word of mouth. I got the news of Warrington and Scarborough transfer listing players yesterday. I got Chester's last Monday....

Aside from the Kit Man and his assistant, I would expect all of those mentioned to attend training out of necessity. We have no idea who is being paid to do what, but I'd be shocked if we didn't have the Manager, Coaches and Physio attending when Armstrong (or anyone else) was in charge, and analys...

Re: Jacob Hazel

It’s just a rumour though. I have seen a few posts circulating on x and fb saying that we are paying Asante a £1,000 a week, I didn’t believe it until I saw Jim Provett post a weeks and a half before we signed him. Possibly suggest where the rumour came from. 1. £160k isn't our budget. £160k is the...

I thought Mustoe was non-contract? Not sure why I had that impression mind. Wrong when the signing was announced in May it said a one year contract! Ah fair enough must have confused him with someone else! Haha not sure if I am more surprised by the news - or that we actually announced it when a si...

Haha maybe our problem with corners is we are practising against our own defence...so we get a false sense of what will actually lead to a goal in a game.

Altho didn't the authorities give Peterboro Sports more time to get work done?
Only as Peterborough had started the work and showed they had funds to complete it.

Spades in the ground got them some leniency.

I guess there is something in the data which states this is the correct approach, but it doesn’t look convincing Does it even need to be in the data when a team are 1-0 up in the last minute? Re: Warrington

I am worried because every game we don't pick up three pts that amazing unbeaten run at the end of the season becomes our only chance of avoiding relegation the only way to stay up. We have been picking up points though. We have 7 in the last 5 games. Nearly 50% of our entire points tally this seas...

Chester will pull themselves higher you would imagine. They are currently the most in form side in the division. Rushall, Bishop's Stortford and Gloucester are your bottom three on current form... 15/11 - Rushall (H) 16/12 - Gloucester (A) 23/12 - Bishop's Stortford (H) Southport and Banbury look sl...

[There's no way we will score 18 more goals than Peterborough this season! Think my maths is correct? We don't have to score 18 more than them. I still hold out hope we can get someone like Calum Kavanagh in until the end of December.

After all he can't go on an EFL loan until then. Even if it's to help out for a few games while Asante is getting up to speed it would be helpful!

Controlled the game played well only to concede a 90min equaliser! Devastated is an understatement 🤦‍♂️ Horrible to listen to...still that is 7 points from 5. Re: Warrington

We were expecting one in one out weren't we - as that is what budget allowed for. I expected the loans were meant to be temporary breathing space which may have allowed for more outgoings to free up the budget to bring in others - rather than permanent solutions. As it happens we are basically Asant...
