Spot on M.O. Clarke did nowt apart from score those goals. Hence title "Sniffer" I suppose. Goodish crowd of around 13000 if memory serves. I was sat in the West stand with my big brother. Happy days.

Top post Rob. After almost 50 years of watching Darlington FC mostly fiddling around in the Fourth Division I for one am thoroughly enjoying this new adventure. The commitment of all at the club from Officials through to players and volunteers should be applauded and unrealistic expectations confine...

Just looked at further pics the guy took. One shows the "slope". Never seen a pitch with such a huge deviation from one side to the other. Almost begs the question is it legal in footballing terms?

Yep. First Gaffer when I started watching DFC, back in old Div. 3. Had a crappy season with injuries. We came straight back down. Then Ray Yeoman took over the reins.
