Re: Darlington V Gloucester

Just listening to the Gloucester manager who believes we have a large budget and will be in the thick of the play-off picture. He said: "Darlington are on a good run of form. They have obviously beaten some top teams and have a big budget and a good crowd here and they are obviously going to go clo...

Very pleased I don't have to read stupid comments on this site anymore. Think Darlington will and deserve to be fined big time for their appalling actions. Have a good rest of season.

Love this. Totally lost. Boro (presumably) in red and a bit of white. Sheff Weds in green??? (home strip would've been fine but for the usual penchant of fleecing fans to buy alternate strips) But whatever....red.....green? Playing at 'Boro in a green strip. How exactly was everybody supposed to dis...

Re: Brackley V Darlington

Brackley are very well positioned to take advantage of situations like today as well. They are a big, strong, experienced and very well resourced side, courtesy of their multi-multi millionaire owner, Allan Leighton (Google him), who backs them to the hilt despite their tiny crowds. They not only h...

Thanks for that - immortal stuff, the pathe film makes it look real end to end and it's nice to see clips of our gallant fans. Jimmy Greaves who played in the drawn game at Stamford Bridge, covers this match well in his auto.biography. My Father and most of my uncles were at the game and they all r...

 Nostalgia is ok for us oldies, but even I cannot remember Feethams without the Tin Shed, although I did see a number of games where the pitch was like a ploughed field, but a win in extra time....🤔 In that case you ain't "1 of us oldies" Regular as clockwork early season as soon as the half...

be in the mid 80's. an older physio for the opposition ran onto the pitch in front of the Polam end to attend to a player. mid run he turned his head towards the polam end, coughed and coughed his false teeth out....but caught them one handed in one smooth motion and promptly stuck them back in.

It would be fantastic if we could get Ipswich town away a dream draw for Alun Armstrong one of his former clubs.we played them at Portman road in the league cup in the mid 1980's but I missed out has I was in a dead end job at the time. Can you imagine the windfall of getting Man UTD away in the 3rd round....and we wouldn't have a desperate single owner chairman partly syphoning the cash for themselves and gambling the rest on the club. Anyone calling for Sunderland away or Hartlepool away (did they get through, I haven't checked?) is short sighted. The OBVIOUS best thing for us is the easiest possible home tie in round 1 because there is £36,000 on it. And we're due a home tie. Then if we get through round 1 - same again please i...

Re: FA CUP FIRST ROUND

There's a great stat in Craig Stoddart's Echo report; this is the first year that Darlo have won 3 FA Cup ties since 1988/9. That year we had three home draws and saw off Runcorn 4-2, Northwich 6-2 and Halifax Town 3-0 ( featuring Les McJannet's classy backheeled goal ). What makes this year's run ...
